O/T Anyone use an unlocked 3g Iphone

I was thinking about getting one to use with t-mobile...Just a little skeptical. Does anyone have any experience with an unlocked iphone?

There's no issue at all. AT&T, T-Mobile, and a couple other companies all have compatible phones - but they usually come locked to the specific provider it was bought from. But once it's unlocked, you just put your T-Mobile simcard in and you're good to go.

Mine is unlocked and I love it. You can do so much more than you can with a locked iphone. Never had a problem.

I have Sprint as a provider. Is there any phone other than a Sprint phone I can use??

I believe that Sprint uses a different network type than the other major providers. Im pretty sure you have to have a Sprint phone.

Some of my friends with unlocked IPhones have said that on T-Mobile they do not get the 3G speeds, it defaults back to the EDGE network. Again not personal experience.

Thats true....my brother has the iphone 3g which is NOT unlocked...everything is legit...and there is areas where he does not get the 3g all the time either.

I am seeing on craigslist and ebay ppl paying 500-600 bucks for a USED iphone 3 g just to unlock it.....Now I love the phone but I cant believe ppl are paying this much for them USED....I guess I lucked out when I got mine new for less then half that.

Also just google how to unlock it if you need to know how...there is a ton of info about that all over the net.

in case of other mobiles with T mobile can be unlocked

I have a chinese copy called sciphone it looks like a iphone and works like a iphone but, it cost 100 US unlocked. I use tmobile and still getting use to downloading Java scripts. I am still a baby learning the curves. Check out Ebay.
