O/T Father has swollen wrists,feet/ankles and eyebrow.

This is actually a ? for my roomates father. He has noticed within the past year or so that his father has had swollen wrists,feet/ankles and eyebrows. His eye swells, right below the eyebrow and towards the nose area. It looks like a small black eye with no brusing, just swelling. He is one of those olden-day guys who doesnt see doctors very often, so my roomate is concerned. BTW, he is not on any AAS/GH,etc.... Doesnt even lift. Just a normal guy. His is around 50years old 6'4" roughly 230 slightly overweight. Any ideas? Life threating? Thanks

Sounds like edema caused from....

Sounds like either a slight form of congestive heart failure or some kidney disorder. He should be seen by a Physician before it is too late. If this has not been a lifelong problem something is happening. Tell your freind a fellow health care worker told him to go ASAP.

test heart first and foremost... then i hate to say this but cancer can also cause this. I know first hand because it happened to my father at 51.

It would be renal (kidney) cancer. Most cancer affect this unless theyre tumors????

in my father's case his swelling was due to the fact he had non-hotchkin's lymphoma and it was cutting off flow, just not a good thing. He passsed the stress test easily and all his ekg's and everything were right on the mark, so they had to dig deeper. Point being, the man needs to see a doctor regardless.
