O/T Firearm Purchase in NJ After PTI

I am looking to get my firearm purchasers ID card in NJ and then my hunting license. However, I completed PTI (pre trial intervention) about 4 months ago. Meaning that the charges were dropped. IT was for a non violent crime but it was drug related ( long story short got caught with an empty bottle of test in my car so the charge was driving with a CDC). Im curious how I answer the question about being convicted of a felony on the application? technically I wasnt convicted, I dont think, so if anyone has any idea about how to answer this please let me know.

Well i do not live in NJ i live in Ca, but if there is no felony on your record then you should have no problem getting a fire arm

in my state which has no where near the strict gun laws an NJ , if the charges are dropped or you are found NOT guilty then owning a firearm is fine. The key word being CONVICTED , not charged.
In order to be convicted you must stand trial
You can be charged to a shit ton of stuff just standing around but not convicted.

My guess would be that you should be treated as if the "crime" never happened
