what i did
well
wife and i were just married 7/11 and like you we had been together for 3ish years and lived together for 1....anyway she would always talk about how we dont have many pictures of the 2 of us (well 3 including my daughter) and she would really like to have some taken at some point in time, well i HATE to have my picture taken so that was the main reason as to the us not having many...so i go and buy the ring and come up with the idea to schedule a photo session with the 3 of us for our pictures, well during the morning of the shoot my daughter (4 year old) and i sneak off to the studio with the ring and i talk to the photographer about my plan and immediately shes on board.....so i return home and proceed to get dressed and picture ready, we arrive and take our normal family portraits and the lady gives me a slight head nod and disappears to the back and comes out with a box (the ring) and says "i have an idea for a pose id like you 2 to do for me" and hands me the box and i proceed to get down on my knee and say what i had planned/thought about saying, the whole time the lady is snapping pics...well the whole thing ends and my wife has NO idea i had just really proposed to her and she thinks it was actually all a picture thing, the lady hands her the box to the ring and says "you can have this since its yours" and my wife's mouth hits the floor and says "what do you mean this is mine", well it finally dawned on her what had just happened and she was speechless and the tears began to fall......
it was great we have a bunch of family pics and then also pics of me proposing to boot....
