O/T low cost alternatives to oil

I hope this does not end up in discuss world issues because we are a very large and diverse group of individules who can influence alot of others in many walks of life. If enough angry voices are heard perhaps we can cut the leash the oil companies have on us. Big A, mods, please consider this.

We will have an alternative to Oil when the super elite masters of the world are ready to give us an alternative. Then we will be slaves to the new "way". Imagine how fast someone would be killed if they came up with some sort of free and self sustaining energy source? Its incredible that we are using the same fuel and internal combustion engine for over 100 years. Im sure there are many better ways available. If there is a technolgy released by the elite contollers, they have to make sure that they can control it, and that they can use it to enslave the masses. They would never release a technology just for the greater good of mankind.

This is a real problem. I hate it being looked at like conspiracy theory(elite contollers).
I don't think there will be one solution. I think it will be a more effiecent combo of several things. Solar, natural gas, nucelar, wind etc. I think it we just have to really start switching to other sources now. Starting slowly and moving more away from oil each year.
