O/T Moving to Tampa (or in the vicinity)...

All advice/input/help much appreciated...

Well, I'm going to see about a girl. My ex fiancé has decided to give us another shot but wants to take things slow. I have sold my business and looking to move mid-end of September. Have started to apartment search for now but don't even know where to look... As I am unfamiliar w the area. Also, will be looking for a new job but again, have little idea where to begin as I started my business straight out of high school and ran it successfully for ten+ years. I do have my business degree and am as hard a worker as you will find and that has always paid off for me.

I am open to anywhere in the Tampa area and any job opportunity. If anyone knows of any opportunities, plz post. All input is greatly appreciated. Just throwing this out there and hopefully I will get some leads...

All that said, I cannot tell you guys how fricken' stoked I am to get another shot w this girl. She truly means the world to me, I messed up pretty bad the first time around so certainly going to make the most of it this go round.

Born and raised in Tampa till I joined the military in '85......Have only been back a few times since leaving. Tampa is a great city in my opinion. I would recommend staying in North Tampa or in the University area. As for jobs, sorry really can't help much in that area. Good luck with your move/job as well as your relationship.

Hillsborough county has a very high unemployment/jobless rate right now. So, you may have to look outside that area for a job

anywhere from Armenia Av (west side of 275) to 30th St(east side of 275) from Fletcher(north) to Ybor city(south) is a no no. Ghetto. Worst crime area, at least 3 years ago, Fletcher to Flower and Nebraska to 30th. thats the east side of 275.

North Tampa the city is probably your best best. anything North of Bearss and east of 30th street. Good Luck man, unemployment sucks there. I wish you the best with the girl.

oh and down by the base is not too bad either.
