O/T- Navient student loans

Has anyone successfully settled with them? I made a dumb mistake when I was 18 and took out a 50k loan for a private photography school. It was later sued for false advertising on job pay post graduation. Anyway, my loan is 51k with a fucking interest rate of 9%!!!! They want 450.00 a month payments. I tried settling and they only dropped it to 43k. Any suggestions in dealing with them?

Is it just personal loan? It`s not federal loan? If its not federal that should be washed away in BK and is uncollectable after 7 yrs (depending on state your in). My student loans are 3.69%, 9% is insane and sounds like a shady debt collector trying to collect on bad debt

i thought student loans were dismissible if the universities were found to be fraudulent..

Can u refi the loans? Have u used all ur forbearance? Call and ask to see about refiing, mine are like 2% or something
