O/T: Posted about serious depression, relationship, anyone live around Charlotte

Recently posted about getting out of a relationship/marriage and then almost a 1 year relationship after. Needing to make a major life change for myself at 30, deciding to move to Charlotte.

-Cost of living (although will get a nice resort type apt in the city to start)
-job market (big factor)
-some family there
-some random friends there
-the weather
-clean city
-newer up and coming city
-driving distance to my immediate family
-transplant city
-among others

***anyone here from Charlotte? In or near the area? Looking to network, make friends. Figured I’d reach out.

I know I sound like a b*tch, but this is scary for me. I’ve never been on my own before and tbh, I’m scared. I’m trying to be strong.. but I’ve been in a relationship since 15.

It’s not only about creative people/athletes etc but it really breaks things down and shows you a different perspective on how to take on new life challenges whether artistic or personal..

im telling you this from MUCH experience.
maybe its better that you have no one and are on your own.
it will force you to find new things. but dont be so scared and desperate cus thats only gona make you recreate what you have had.

ive moved places where i dont know anyone, dont speak the language, no job no nothing.

and still managed to recreat my past! lol:banghead:

you can meet ppl doing anything, buying gas, groceries, gym...work. try not to be sacred, try to be open and inquisitive and ask ppl about them,

learn to be cute, blink your eyes... lol girls like lost puppies

Charlotte is a nice city..definitely try and find a place downtown. There is a nice golds gym in Epicenter downtown. Lots of hot tail down there but with that you get the attitude. No surprises there, but overall is a nice place.
