O/T - Raising Catfish in a barrel (extremely cheap)

i raised two catfish from the time that they were about 2 inches long until they were about two lbs. i think they can live to be about 100 yrs old.

i know a guy that was a welder in the mississippi river, and he talked of catfish the size of cars!.......

Take a look at this one! It was caught not too far from where I grew up, infact I just went there today to get some smoked salmon and shrimp.

not a bad idea, but id blow it when i deep fried the cat fish and sopped it in cheese grits!! Sure, id get the protein but i grew up on deep fried fish and that would blow the whole "healthy" thing for me. That's why cat fish is a once in a while "treat" for me!! It's the only way to eat it!!

My wife likes Catfish on the Foreman grill, w/lemon. I can't eat it at all! I get sick every single time.

Never fails, so I stopped. I can only eat Salmon, Tuna, pretty much any other fish. I also can't eat octopus, I developed a taste aversion, when my sister in law made it and I got sick as a nalnurished dog.
