I also purchased an inversion board. I kept it at my office, when I sold the building the guy that bought the building put in a stipulation that the inversion board stayed.
It was a big help to me. I also used the same "stretch" machine at chiropractors. I could not ride in a car more than an hour without pulling over and walking down the highway.
I did sit on tennis balls which helped a bit.
After my hip replacement, bingo, no more sciatic problems!
BTW I was very against pain pills, but my therapist (not doctor) encouraged me to incorporate them because he said they altered the communication channel with the nerves and brain. He was right. It only took two or three days.
