O/T THE WALKING DEAD SERIES

Anybody else watch this? I know it's a straight rip off of the movie 28days later. But for some reason I am into it. I couldn't wait for sunday to get here. Then I got ripped off by the show only being one damn hour long. LOL I got to admitt I am hooked on it.

who else is into it?

It's not too bad. You're right, a little of a rip off but I believe it will/does have a better plot line. I missed 1/2 of the first episode so but don't think I missed too much... did I?

If I'm not mistaken you can always catch it on reruns on AMC channel. OR youtube of course. haha But no, you didnt miss much because they never really said what happened or what caused it. Like 28 days later, he wakes up from a long stay in the hospital and finds the world upside down and full of walking dead. (surprise surprise) hahahaha

My question is the other cop (SHANE) thats in the woods and having sex with the chic. Is she really the wife of the first cop?(RICK) Does she think her husband is dead and is hooking up with this cop because of thought that she lost her husband? LOL

Yep, he's banging away on his former partner's wife. I too thought that it was a rip off of 28 days just by watching the previews. Great show though. I'm watching a rerun on Charter on Demand.

Yes His wife thinks he is dead, that's why she let him hit it Doggie style and push her face in the grass... in the first 5mins. The head shots are crazy they do a close up everytime the sheiriff shots a Zombie with his 357.

I love this Series. The Group in the woods is actually with the group that the Sheriff saved in the Department store.

Couple questions Why did he walk throught the park and find that half corpse and Apolojize the Blow her head up. Was it Morals? Did he know he was going to Kill a bunch of "Walkers"?

When he got to the Farm house and the Family comitted suicide why didn't he find keys to the truck or look for gas, he just takes the Horse and feeds it to the Alanta City zombies!

MAybe i'm looking into it too hard!

I love this series already. I didn't watch last nights episode yet but will tonight. I didn't even think that the woman and boy in the woods with his old partner might be the main characters wife and son.

I'm hooked on this show too. Looks like the sheriff is gonna go back to get that other guy from episode 3 previews. Breaking Bad is also a good one too. AMC has really been getting some great shows the past couple of years, I'm a fan of Mad Men too.

I thought the exact same thing. But then I remembered part 1.

1- I think he knew putting her out of her misery was a way of thinking to himself, "if this were my wife and someone found her this way I would hope someone helps her pass away with dignity by killing her and she suffers no more". (IMO)

2- In the first episode it starts out as most zombie-end of the world movies do. He was out looking for gas and everything was bone dry. HOWEVER, last nights episode he go himself a truck and Glen (asian kid) found himself a new car with gas. Go figure. hahaha

I forgot the guys name but the redneck guy they left behind. They found the right actor to play his part. LOL

Now I'm left wondering since the wife who is having sex in the woods with the other sheriff guy got lied to????? I wonder if Shane (cop in woods) told the lady her husband (Rick) WAS DEAD just to get some booty?
hmmmmm? the plot thickens. LOL

ALL zombie movies are "rip-offs" of the George Romero movies of the late 1960's and 70's....long before 28 days later......they are all the same, zombies eat the living, you gotta shoot them in the head, and it all happened overnight....but so what, I like them all.

I really like it. The story so far follows the comic book it's based on pretty close. I just wonder if everything that happens in the comic will be in the series. The comics are very gory and some real effed up things happen. I also hope it becomes a permanent series. Could be wrong but I thought the tv series was only six episodes.

My massage therapist does part-time extra work for horror films and she's in it. I even think she's on the ads for it. I'll ask her for some links and photo's from the set. She says its a blast to work with this company.

That little Asian kid was Awesome!!

He was flying around in that Challenger!!! You could have any car you wanted!!! Imagine the possibilities. Yes your whole family might be dead but you have to do what you have to do.

I thought I remember reading that Romero got his idea from the book "I am Legend". If true then even his are kind of a rip off. Though I do agree with you that I don't care and I enjoy them all. It seems about time some one made a series about it.

My sister said I should check it out because she compared it to Dawn of the dead and I like zombie flicks , but not the zombies they have today like in 28 days later where the zombies are super fast and strong and can think for themselves .
