O/T Vacation to Spain

well im planning my vacation for the beginning of the year and i thought i would like to go to a european country but i want to be near a beach, so i thought spain would be a cool place to visit.

i have done a little looking around but i know its best to talk to somoene first hand who has actually been there. like what the nice cities to visit are, where you stayed, what beaches are nice, etc. i dont want to necessairly go where every other tourist goes if you know what i mean.

if anyone has gone, please share your experiences, if you liked it, what you didnt like, would you go back, etc.
