O/T: What are we READING in 2018

the Lufthansa Heist and Wiseguys by Nicohlas Pileggi last week and this week its a bio called DEAL by Bill Kreutzmann (the drummer for the Grateful Dead)

Currently re-reading "Think and Grow Rich" - Napoleon Hill

Great book applicable to every goal one could have in life.

I don't read much fiction anymore but I've always like anything by Kaitlin R Keirnan her writing style is pretty cool.
Got 4 stacked on my nightstand right now:

Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook; Gary Vaynerchuk
Crush It!; Gary Vaynerchuk
Flexible Fat Loss Solution; John Gorman
Metabolic Capacity and Reverse dieting; John Gorman

Then I've got the damn NASM pt cert book to get through as well.

Planning to order a few more once I'm working again.

I had several people recommend READY PLAYER ONE to me over the years. Finally bought it (at the airport) and read it in 4 days. Fascinating and I completely get its popularity.

Steven Spielberg just directed the movie and it comes out in a couple months.
Its a very VR-what if Facebook was a virtual world? type book. Interesting.

Also reading ANNIHILATION right now as well. Thats another one that's going from book to movie. Very good.

My son and I are definitely going to see it.

I'm currently reading the second Orphan X book. It's kind of like a Jason Bourne type book, and Wiki says "Bradley Cooper is likely to produce and possibly star in the movie."

I do a fair amount of reading while at work and have been working through The legend of Drizzt series on book 14 currently. Obviously a bit of a nerd but if your into the whole dungeons and dragons thing I couldn't think of anything better to recommend.

I just finished reading a few books:

1. The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson which is about the architects that built the Chicago World's Fair in 1890's and also told about a serial killer, H. H. Holmes, who was killing people in the city at the same time. (4/5)

2. In the Kingdom of Ice by Hampton Sides which is about America's attempt to reach the North Pole by ship in the late 1800's. (4/5)

3. Issac's Storm by Erik Larson which is about the Hurricane that destroyed Galveston, TX in 1900. (4/5)

I just finished The Nowhere Man by Gregg Hurwitz. It's the second in the Orphan X series (a Jason Bourne type character). Great writing with a diversion in the book that was a total surprise.

I've been on the waiting list from my local library for the new Harry Bosch book, Two Kinds Of Truth by Michael Connelly, and I picked it up today.
