O/T what did you do on your summer vacation?

I thought a board full of testosterone filled men could appreciate this. I built a theatre in my basement this past summer. I have 5 motorized reclining leather seats, 5 speakers, 92" screen, plus other assorted goodies. And after all that work, I decided to buy a new place. Anyone want a house in the Chicagoland area?

It's kind of messy here, doors hadn't been installed yet, or trim and crown molding...these were taken a few months ago

LMAO, the doors were down there, just hadn't been installed yet. It's all installed now. Putting the house on the market in January. Those were some older pics I came across when going through my iPhotos.

The floors look dirty because my damn flooring guy was sloppy and left grout and grout haze all over the floor, that pissed me off.

Looks great. Love those seats. Just what I want in my soundroom. So, two questions. How much for the house, and what kind of speakers did you install? (I'm an old audiophile from way back.)

Speakers...Definitive Technology. Sound amazing. I'm not a huge sound guy and the speakers were the one thing I was going to cheap out on...until I heard these.

It's a DLP projector...NEC. It is one of the few true HD projectors, picture looks great. The best is playing XBOX on this system, my brother and I played HALO2 for 8.5 hours the first day I got it set up. Those seats are lethal too, I have fallen asleep there many times.

We went to Oahu and the Big Island. I get to go there every other month on business and I always end up with a bunch of extra time. It was fun taking the wife this time though.

I gotta brag a little bit - after two kids and 6 years of marriage, this is how my wife greeted my at the hotel on our anniversay. I am a lucky dude. (there are more photos but you aren't seeing those)
