O/T What do LA Fitness Trainers get paid?

May do some part time training for a facility in my area. Anyone know a typical hourly rate? Ballys only pays like $12 an hr which is ridiculus, so maybe I though la fitness would be better. Thanks guys

bro you are right $6.00 every half hour.I know I worked for them a little over a year.not in the training.just stoped working there 4 months ago.I still get to work out for free ha ha thats the best part.but I help sometimes too though.I hang at the front desk all the time and answer the phone when they are busy (kid's stress)or still help customer ,check people in.I dont mind helping really.

same over here in florida. $6 every session =30 min and if you dont have any clients u sit around holding your dick. there cheap as hell and no raises . if your gonna work there just build up your clients then train them on the side for less then what LA charges them. thats what everyone does. just dont let them catch you. oh yea u get a free gym membership haha. good luck with the job hunt

I don't live there or train there, but I used to date a girl who lives near there and we would go there to train every time I flew out for a few days, she was a hot blonde who lived about 10 minutes from there. I am actually on the east coast but I liked Golds Palm Desert.

The problem with Chain Gyms like LA Fitness, is that they take anywhere from 60% to 40% of your personal training rate.. So when you get a client to buy a bunch of training sessions for example (10 sessions for $500). You will probably get $20 an hour per session, while LA Fitness gets $30 an hour.. I don't know there exact breakdown, but they take a good chunk of change.. Best bet is to find a small gym where you can negotiate your training rate.. Or do in home training and make ur own rate..

$125 per week plus 5% sales commision. LOL thats $3 per hour. I walked out.

YOur a moron then, GM at Pro Results make well over 100k per year, Lake Success NY GM makes min 150k. Trainers at LA Fitness dont have to do shit but train there clients, not like other gyms where you have to sell and train them. The sales managers sell the training and you train them. The money is in the managment, Trust me I been with the company 4 years and making more money then any other training manager or gym manager in any other fitness gym across the country. Then Vp's for training make up to 250-500k per year. No lies pure facts. Ask MIGHTYJOHN, cause if he is from Jersey He knows me and I know him if he was a GM for BOC now PRO RESULTS with in the past 4 years. But if your lazy and dont wanna hustle then you wont make shit

The rest is commision and she said its only 5% and average sales are $15000 per 2 weeks. So that gaurantee's me $500 per month if nobody buys shit and $2k per month if the "sales" are what she said they were.

Well lemme chime in here 1st off Nick(what club are You in) is right about the Lake Success GM, although he is the HIGHEST paid GM in the nation for them b/c GM's bonus off of their EFT(electronic funds transfers)basically what people are being billed every month for PT & when I left the company his was about 2x what anyone else's was(that was like 2yrs ago)

As for the 5% commission I dunno what the prices are now but lets say I sold a 2x per week package thats $29 per session x 8 = $232 month x 12 months=$2784+149(sign up & workbook fee)= $2933....which is a $146.65 commission

I'd write those all day, My club was consistantly top 20 in the nation...the problem with the company is that the upper level management is garbage(2 of 6 boc vps I know are ok) & now that they have been bought out by LA....even worse b/c I worked for LA as a sales mgr as well & they always had weak, over payed, ego mainiac's as VP's

Fourthgen: First off no attitude here, and I dont care how many post I have I been on the boards for 10 years, just cause I dont post dont mean shit, I read what most people say I dont have to respond. Next its a sales job you get paid off what you do. No sales, I dont think so, If nobody is buying "shit" that means you suck at what you do and sales is not for you. As a assistant Manager you should be makin 2-3k every two weeks, if not then yea you should be a trainer where you come and go as you please.

MIghtJohn: I agree with you with the VP's lol, Actually the changes for all upper level management have been taking place the last two month, 4 VP's got demoted or terminated. My EFT is 146k 2nd highest behind LS at 218k. THe company average now is 90k so every GM should be taking in min 90-120k depneding on there hustle.

Yea there are over 7 clubs in my district over 90k. OV is way at the bottom now, there still around 60k. The only way I would come to EFT is if I was a VP, otherwise its not worth it. JohnB Diego, you know them, They want me to come to EFT, but right now I am currently the Senior GM in the NE and should be promoted Oct 1. IF they bullshit me again then I am out. I already had 3 VP interviews with LA. IF I leave LA I am taking the 4 GM's in the district that came from me, they are loyal to me and will leave if I leave..
