in th mountain static charges can do th same and has happen from it also we were told not to use cell phone and to discharges by touching metel befor pumping gas. and trust me u dont want to get burn i been burned over 85 % of my body and than they have to hand scab th dead skin off and it very painful and it took me over 3 month to learn to walk again. u dont want to get burned

Interesting. I hope the guy is ok. I think the chance for this happening at a gas station is nearly impossible, as you would need such a high concentration of gasoline vapors in the air that you would leave the place immediately. He was on top of an open tanker of petrol that he opened and had lots of vapors stored in it from the drive...

Didn't MythBusters tried to ignite a gas pump when pumping, but it was impossible to do so.?

Mythbusters tried it and said it was a myth but it's still not something to take a chance on. I'd hate to be the one in the next video everyone watches.

I love mythbusters. I once tried my own version of mythbusters back in junior high school when I investigated the truth behind people being able to light farts. I must admit that I was a bit surprised at the flamability of farts!

damn, i do what that guy did all the time. unlucky bastard. sometimes you gotta check if your completely empty before you load and a cell phones is a usefull source of light to look down in the compartment.

i'm sure i'll be thinking about this guy before i do that again.
