No, CM Punk got the belt from John Morrison before the suspension. I'm wondering if they planned it for that reason.

Yeah they probably planned it that way since he got suspended. It must have been just recent then. I'm sure McMahon wouldn't have suspended anyone had their not been an investigation by authorities. Public pressure forced him to do it in light of all the publicity that Benoit generated.

Just went on wwe.com to see if they had anymore info on it. I see cmpunk won at a house show. Weird they wouldn't show a change in belts on t.v. I see Umaga does have the IC belt, he was one that was mentioned. Don't look like roids did much for his fat ass, lol.
