The skinless wild caught pink salmon frozen in the blue bags at Walmart..how do y'all count 4oz? The pack says 2g fat 20g protein.

But most nutritional sites say 5g-6g fat per 4oz and the Wild caught canned salmon says Different numbers also

I know this is OCD and doesn't matter in the the grand scheme of things, it
Just drives me crazy lol
 
I've never had that brand but I would go off of nutrition labels on the package. I have noticed that when I've had frozen salmon with less fat it tended to be dryer which is a good sign the label wild be accurate.
 
While I do track my calories.....I am not too anal about fat (Good Fats) if it's a few grams off. Same with protein.

Carbs are the only macro that I tend to stay as strict as possible around. If I am trying to loose weight, they are the most significant macro that I am manipulating anyway.
 
Wow. That's a huge difference in the fat:protein ratio than what's reported on canned (wild caught) salmon. Perhaps the difference is all of the oil (fish oil I hope) in the canned salmon.

Wild planet canned salmon has an exceptional profile if you believe the label. I do like how it tastes although it’s pricey.
 
I'm sure it's ok to eat but personally I would never eat pink salmon. Years ago while in college I worked in a fish plant and pinks are one grade above pet food and the amount of times the coin was tossed as to which bin they went in was bad enough for me
