hey I found that link on the top fuel dragster that ran a 4.48 second pass at a new speed record of 335.57

1/4 mile pass

It's hard to beleive how fast those dragsters have become. I remember back in 1988 when Eddie Hill broke the 1/4 mile record with a 4.99. If I could just get my rod down in the 9's in a 1/4 mile I would be happy.

By looking at the webpage, it looks like his brother beat him in the 1/4 time at 4.47, but not as fast... Cjay

I know a guy out in Vegas that builds racing engines. His shop is near the race track and the dragstrip is on the other side of that. One day Kenny Bernstein was out there testing a Top Fuel dragster. He said the engine was putting out around 8,000 h.p.! All of the stuff was falling off the shelves and walls.
