The data from the CDC and WHO that completely go against this being anywhere near deadlier than the flu...

The studies (dozens of them on thousands of patients around the world) evaluated by world renown epidemiologists and virologists stating that this virus was over blown and more damage was done from the reaction than from the actual virus?

Covid is not deadlier than the flu.. Period... Look it up yourselves in the CDC, more people have died this year in some age groups from Influenza and Pneumonia since Covid broke out then from Covid...

I’ve literally posted articles of where cases were lied about or excuse me; “accidentally mislabeled” and “accidentally unreported” etc...

There’s major financial incentive to lie and it’s been proven... It’s a fact...

I gave up a long time ago, specific points, arguments, stats, articles you make/post will not be refuted, they will be ignored and you will be attacked and stats with no context will be hurled at you.

I agree... And let me be clear I have no problem being wrong with something and changing my mind or that someone might have a different opinion than I do..

It’s just that every single person who has the opposing opinion on this subject deviates completely and ignores all the facts posted.. With documented sources from reputable outlets, to actual CDC data, to professionals in the field and on the front lines, to proof of lies and incentive etc... Not a single person has posted a fact as to why I’m wrong for thinking what I think.. Nothing even debatable...

Either way, there’s several actual specialists who’ve made it very clear and to semi quote the one I posted a couple pages back; “If you’re under age 50 with no health conditions or underlying illness, your chances of death are essentially 0%.”

It shows the dates of data collects, sex, age groups, and causes of death between Covid, Influenza, and Pneumonia....

Covid has less numbers or equal numbers in many age groups... Basically, it’s only uneven if you’re like 70 or older lol...

My argument would be, do you consider the flu deadly? If the answer is no (my opinion), would something x amount times deadlier be considered deadly?

For example you could say "driving on the interstate at rush hour Monday is 20x more deadly (risk of dying) than driving on the interstate at 3 am Tuesday night." My response would be "you may be technically correct, but in context, I don't consider either to be risky and am not going to change my behavior."

Curling a 40lb dumbbell may be 10x more likely to tear a bicep tendon than curling a 20lb one, but that doesn't mean its a high risk of injury like say, flat benching 600lbs.

I know there have been a handful in the news, but they are in the minority. It can happen. There was that Broadway actor that died a few weeks ago, i think he was healthy. He had the blood clot problems. Lost a leg and then eventually lost the fight.

Its certainly not as common as would think after listening to the media and 1/2 of congress.

The main thing I was looking at there was the strong stats showing that in children of school age influenza, killed more than covid-19, and yet the US is terrified to start school back up. Another thing to keep in mind, many of those deaths happened early on in New York and New Jersey, other big cities. Now that the medical system is up to snuff more and able to treat it, the death rate has fallen even more. Some areas like New York City seem to have some herd immunity going on, not fully functioning but it sure is having an affect. The Detroit area is another example.

The word has been out for awhile, but many consider it a conspiracy theory. I definitely think there was some of that going on, and maybe still is. My father in law is a retired Neurologist and works with Blue Cross Blue Shield helping them out. He said there are problems with false reports. I dont know how rampant it is.

I have heard this a while back and since then started seeking to communicate with people in the medical field to verify it and they've confirmed it, that was the reason of my post in response to Nems, I was hoping there would be something else new though but I guess not.

Yeah, the doctors I have spoken to I would say at least 1/2 confirmed it and the others did not know one way or the other. We will probably never know the true death rate of the virus. I do think that the stats prove that it is more deadly than the regular influenza we are used to, but only for the elderly population and for people with severe chronic health problems. It is why I dont leave the house much these days, nor my family. With my heart failure I am a poster child for death by this virus. It has me scared.

had the virus the second week of March. was tested a month later for antibodies and had them. was tested again the second week of this month (July) and no longer have antibodies. from what i understand, i'm still in good shape were i to be reinfected, but if anyone's wondering about whether or not the antibodies stay for many months, in my case they didn't.

fwiw, my only symptoms were loss of taste & smell and some minor congestion for 3-5 days. nothing else. didn't even know i was sick and was working out the whole time. also, somehow i did not infect my wife. we're still not sure how that worked.

Our neighbors have a daughter that was sick with it and somehow they managed to not catch it from her. Like how your wife never got it. There were husband and wife on cruise ships that had the same experience, somehow the spouse didn't catch it and they shared the same bed.

The reason other countries are moving ahead is because of coordinated, centralized leadership, science first, and a public which considered the greater good. And no conspiracies.

These actions resulted in the loosening of the shackles the US is currently bound with.
