I recienctly read something that I didn't know and wanted to share .... All olives oils are not created equal.... U.S olive oil companies are held to a higher standard In fact a recient study was done and only 40% of international olive oils actually met the standards for extra virgin... I also read that it is best to buy bottles of a dark color due to that sun light adds acidity to the oil... Just food for thought ....

It is because of the Mafia and ndgrangheta in Sicily and Calabria. It is a way of life there. There are some OK me Italian co ops fighting this trend

olive oil is good for you, but an even better oil is flax oil. I agree with the dark bottle

You can't compare the two. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

Olive oil is only good for salads.
I never cook with olive oil. The heat destroys it. Coconut oil is a much healthier way to go.

Olive oil for a salad, but sunflower oil to cook sometimes. Its not healthy, but some things taste better

Olive oil is really delicious only for salad. In other cases, use coconut oil or try to exclude the oil.

I remember watching a report somewhere that olive oils from italy are actually questionable because the mafia dilutes the good olive oil with shit vegetable oil and stuff and sells it as high quality stuff
