To be honest, even though I love bodybuilding and have been following the scene for 25 years - I can’t name a single Men’s Physique competitor

Physique is just lame to me. It’s like modeling shorts. I don’t know any of them.

The press conference (especially in recent years) is often weird to me. The whole point of it is to create some hype and have a bit of fun. Drama sells so they obviously encourage that as well but it's like some guys just don't get it. Yes they are depleted and just want to get on stage but they are so up themselves and over sensitive they can't even have banter. That was an embarrassing reaction from Brandon. The guy was just messing about with him and you can tell it wasn't a rehearsed reaction he is just void of personality and over sensitive. I don't follow physique much but I know quite a few of them are like that but at least Bilal tried to make it entertaining for the fans. That's why the likes of Samson is always good to see in a press conference.

Some guys are fairly quiet and shy which is fine so if they want to make these press conferences more entertaining (otherwise why do them) they really need to improve the way they go about them. An example I don't get why they didn't have Nick and Derek talking against each other because that was one of the main rivalries leading up to this years show.
