Yep. From the perspective of someone who doesn't follow bodybuilding or would never refer to himself a a bodybuilder, and looks at it only as a freak show/drug war/plastic surgery competition, I think it just drives bodybuilding further into the "meme" category vs something the general population would ever take seriously or admire.
Its sad imo because hard work, discipline, self control should be admired. But imo there is a bell shaped curve...where looking like a statue turns into looking unhealthy and like a "freak" in a bad way. I think many guys assume they are on the left of that bell shaped curve where the general population or even gym population sees them far past what is a desirable physique.
