On a scale of 1-10.....

To this sport, maybe a 7, although I'll most likely not ever step on a stage...Is that too high of a # for not planning on stepping on stage...I figure myself at an 8-9 while REALLY trying to put on lean mass...

This hobby/lifestyle can easily consume an individual. I'll be the first to admit I need more balance etc... but this is what I live for. I absolutely love it. Everyday I am hungry for more knowledge and wisdom when it comes to training, diet and competition. There is never ending information you can learn with this lifestyle and it can be so damn selfish and lonesome. I commend the friends and family who try to accept it and are positive on their outlook on it. I know there have been several times where I have missed a friends important event/function due to training/dieting, yet they have been at my show to support me. It is amazing how good it feels to know people are there for you. My heart and soul are at a 10, my body......ehh.....4.8 maybe?

I GUESS IF I WAS "REALLY" INTO IT, I'D BE INTO GAINING MUSCLE LIKE A MAD MOFO AND TO HELL WITH SMALL DOSES.

I AM GETTING READY TO ROLL THOUGH...JUST GOT ALL MY "PROTEIN" TODAY.

TODAY WAS A TYPICAL DAY FOR ME:

TRAINED CHEST: BENCHES AND FLYS

ATE: PROTEIN GREEN BEANS

ATE: PROTEIN APPLES SAUCE

ATE: PROTEIN APPLE SAUCE

TRAINED BACK: PULLDOWNS AND ROWS

ATE: CHICKEN, PORK AND BEANS, BAKED LAYS, APPLE SAUCE, PEANUTS

ATE: PROTEIN AND LACTOSE FREE MILK.

LIKE YOU I SUPPOSE I AM AN 8. THAT'S EMBARRASSING FOR ME CONSIDERING HOW SHITTY I LOOK. BUT, THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT GOES.

Its time for a wake up call Brad. Get it together, there's alot of members here supporting you! Thats my "drill sergeant" voice...(think full metal jacket)....lol.
 
I say about a 9. I'm very obssessive compulsive and I'm never satified. Most guys would love to have my body, but for me its never enough. This sport has consume my life and all I can think about is training/diet and how to make improvements. Just wish my body was as big as my heart when is comes to the sport.

I'm same as SitySlicker. I am told I'm way too obsessive compulsive about gaining muscle mass and getting "HUGE". I started out around 200, then hit 220, then 230 and now i'm 251 with approx 10% bf and I still feel skinny!! My goal now is 270, but when I get to 270 will I still feel like a twig??? All I can think about is bodybuiliding and am very "scared" that at my age I don't have too many years left for it!

It would have to be a big 10 for me. The lifestyle makes me very happy.:)
 
A solid 8 or 9. Eight is while bulking and Nine is while prepping for a show. I admit it, I'm obsessed. You think I would have out grown it at my age, but all I have done has been to make my obsession a little less obvious to people who don't know me well.
