On cycle, Help me sleep please .....

Bro same happens to me with GH. Reality is this: I feel great, I have no trouble focusing, I'm full of energy, no problems recovering. Overall no.performance issues in any department. So I ask myself: wtf is the problem with having a couple extra hours a day to handle shit? It has also occurred to me that my body just needs less sleep now as I age because it continues to happen when I'm off of it. Older people sleep less, so I've accepted that this is how it is. That being said, melatonin, zinc, magnesium, and valerian root knock me out and I feel like I sleep even better. Do not make the mistake of going down the route of prescription sleep/anxiety meds - you will regret it.
I love this view at the problem, at the end of the day I do perfectly fine even if I sleep less, it's probably becoming more of a mind thing. This is a good prospective. Makes sense

I think it's as simple as the fact you went from 150mgs to 700mgs...I mean if you are used to 150mgs and jump to 700mgs that's a lot. I am eperiencing a little anxiety going from 10-15mgs test / 10-15mgs mast a day for YEARS to 40mgs test / 20mgs mast and I have a little anxiety and not sleeping as well. That's like 200mgs a week to ~400mgs and you jumped another 300mgs.
This also makes sense, I already lowering the dosages this week and ramp up very slowly

Look into CBT-i

It's basic sleep hygiene but is the only protocol with clinical support for improvement in sleep quality; much better than any OTC products & even Rx sleep drugs

Eg, get into a routine, no phone or computer, dim lights, cooler ambient temperature, mindless tasks like putting away clean dishes or folding laundry, have sex, etc
What if you live in a loud area?

Huh? I specifically asked you how you were feeling and you said you’re tired due to the lack of sleep earlier this thread… that’s why I asked lol

I hear that

*rimshot*

jk

There are a lot of companies that specialize in inexpensive ear plugs, you just gotta find ones that work with the shape of your ears

Ones that are comfortable and don't fall out in the middle of the night

Shouldn't take too much trial & error

There are also things like white noise machines & air purifiers that can drown out other noises, the latter also providing other benefits (clean air)

I have had my fair share of anxiety issues and also have experience with gabaergic drugs and withdrawal from them. So I want to echo the posters above that recommended to stay away from them. That includes gaba itself, alcohol, benzos, and even valerian root because they never fix a problem unless you take them only once a month. I have a drink once every two months on a particularly shitty day - they are very good in acute situations and very very bad when used chronically.

Secondly I would question if you are really sure it is the androgens causing this or whether it might be a coincidence, since you mention a lot going on in your life right now - the mind is incredibly powerful and just having the expectation that something will happen to your body and mind can actually cause it to happen (think of the placebo effect and what it can do. It can cause hairloss to slow down ... it can cause all kinds of things)

If it truly is caused by the androgens, the only thing I can add is that masteron has a higher potential for overstimulated nerves in my experience. Maybe drop the mast and stick with just testosterone. And then wait it out and see if you adjust.

I agree, i myself have been dealing with insomnia since childhood. I definitely think it’s more of a mental thing. Makes me wonder if some people are just genetically predisposed to be night owls.

Higher androgen loads will only exacerbate existing sleep issues. It doesn’t matter whether you slowly ramp up or go straight from cruise to blast, it will have the same effect ime.

So far only thing that works 90% of the time is trazadone. It almost works too well so if I don’t take it at the right time I risk sleeping past my alarm.

Trazadone XL at 100 mg and 2 mg of Melatonin knock me out.

If OTC doesn’t work for you try Trazodone or Gabapentin. Trazodone works well for some people and can be used long term. Gabapentin can cause ED issues so I only use it when I’ve gone a day or two with little to no sleep. Stay away from Xanax or some of those stronger prescription drugs for sleep.
Gabapantin is prescription too. And it can also cause withdrawal once you get off it. Gabapantin hit the same receptors as opioids do in case you didn’t know brother. I get both prescribed Xanax and gabapantin. I take it very sparingly.

I also take Gabapentin sparingly. I have experienced the withdrawals as you mentioned even after only taking it for 2 weeks straight. But when I really really need sleep it works very well for me.

I have tried most of them. Melatonin req a high dose, min 10mg to work for me. Antihistamin can work, i like prometazin 25-50mg a night. Theanin can help, 400mg a night. I got decent results from DSIP also, 250mcg-500mcg gives me a good night sleep, deep sleep, and insane dreams.

I’ve tried everything and I’ve been using gummies lately. Feel like being a natural herb is better than more pharmaceuticals. Drops candies has some different nighttime ones

I think you meant gabapentin hits the same receptors as benzos (GABA receptors).

But that was kinda debunked. Gabapentin doesn't bind to opioid or GABA receptors, it binds calcium channels (α2δ).

I still agree with your point that these drugs are shit for sleep and should be avoided.

Glad they worked for you

I tried some with CBD and some with THC (there were others I forget like CBN or something)

The most I got was relaxation, not sleepiness

I'm not displeased with relaxation, it's kinda nice, but I was still stuck with poor sleep quality until I started actually doing CBT-i

doxylamine succinate does the trick for me. Take it on an empty stomach 30 mins to an hour before you eat your last meal and pass out.

No brother I meant opioids research and you will see. It actually help you when you getting of opioids to not get the withdrawal. I speak from experience. I was prescribed Percocet for 7 years and I stopped cold turkey. And everyone and doctor said it was impossible. That I need to go to a rehab. I didn’t and got off. I’m 💯 sober and free from that hell.. I can send you litterature on it.

Magnesium glycinate with trazadone always works for me

Probably everyone should take a magnesium supplement because deficiency is very common

But for sleep, trazadone is doing the heavy lifting here (still not a great long-term solution tho)

I’ve had success with high dose melatonin. 50mg is around where I keep it. Everyones different, but I feel fine the next morning as well.

I’ve found a combination of 40mh hydroxyzine and 25mg trazadone helps ,e get to and stay asleep

Totally man. Just like gear - if there are no negative sides, why bother with ancilaries.
