On Week 4 of Humalog 15 IU Pre-Workout Cycle 5x weekly(Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat). Have not used Metformin yet. I did a bit of search n reading here and learned that I need to start from 250mg a meal and go up from there upto like 1500mg. I stopped slin Saturday and will be not using for 2-4 weeks. But, I am starting Metformin and like to use it forever from now. My purpose is insulin sensitivity, staying lean off-season, and longevity. I have a few questions. But, before that I will share my diet n daily plan:
7am: 3IU GH, 12.5mcg T3 n go for a brisk walk 30 mins
7:30: Meal 1, Oats n Chicken
10:30: Meal 2 Rice n Chicken
1:30: Meal 3 Rice n Beef
4pm: 3IU GH
4:30: Rice n Chicken
6:30: Insulin 15 IU with Shake 1
7pm: Start Workout
7:30: Shake 2
8:30: Workout ends, Shake 3
9:30 reaching home: Rice n Egg Whites
11:30pm: Oats n Egg Whites
12: Sleep
NOW, My questions are:
1) Which meals can I add metformin to? I am thinking to start Metformin at 250mg with Meal 1. Few days later add 250mg to Meal 3. Is it OK?
2) Once I have to increase the dose upto 1500mg daily, which other meals can I add it to?
3) Does the metformin timing matter when ON/OFF Insulin?
