Hey guys, most of you don't know me as i am rather new here, first off let me say i have learned more on this board in a month than the last 2 years on other boards. The people here are great and at the same time brutally honest(as it should be). I was fortunate enough today on my last set of squats and even more so the last rep, to feel a giant pop and bam... bye bye hamstring. I collapsed and had the weight land on me luckily it was my last set so it was only 315. Well after about 3 hours between the ER and the orthopaedic specialist i have an MRI coming up Monday.. follow up Wednesday and he said to prepare for surgery by Friday( Its torn at the butt there just wondering if its one or both heads) Non the less im in a very sad state atm. I'm 23 and training is the balance of my life, it kills my stress keeps me sane and i love doing it. I'm 5 weeks into my first cycle 600mg a week of test e and 50 mg of provirion. I'm obviously going to let the esters clear and start PCT as i will be out of commission for a while, but am going to ask the doc if i can still train upper body fairly soon.

The worst part is i was just waiting to get paid today so i could contact John Meadows and start his program as i have been trying a makeshift form of it from his express site tell i could afford the real deal!!(bummer for me). I'm going to try not to sulk as it could have been much worse i could have died or been paralyzed from the bar falling on me.

My question to you fellow bros is hypothetically of course if this happened to you, after your surgery what compounds would you take to help speed up the recovery process. My rat has a boat load of GHRP-6 and mod grf with no dac, what compounds would you guys hypothetically run to help speed this recovery up.. I appreciate the help as always guys sorry for the bad typing just trying not to get tears on my keyboard as it littraly feels like my world was crushed. Thanks again guys!

Hopefully all goes well with your surgery. As for helping it heal faster, hgh is one of the best compounds you can use. TB500 is also supposed to help but it's expensive. You could run the peps you have on stock which would suffice as well.

Dude your world is not crushed! Maybe side tracked for a little while but not crushed. There are threads in the peptide and growth section that discuss what can help speed recovery. Johnjuan would be a good member to reach out to.
Praying for a speedy recovery for you brother!

Hey man,
Had a couple friends injured while lifting, one tore his pec, the other tore his tricep. Both of them are back in the gym and hitting it hard. Yes they were out for a while, but it was just a delay in there goals. I really don't think you will be doing a lot of lifting early on, you pull that hammy and it is going to kill.

4ius of good quality gh like rips, elis or hyges daily is a good dosing protocol for injuries. No need to mega dose for the purposes of healing. It may be difficult, but site inject into your torn hammy if possible.

Will be putting the money aside for that forsure, what about anabolic wise iv'e heard clint darden speaking about possibly using moderate test and i believe deca along with the GH for his recovery. Thanks again for the input!
 
I'm hoping i will be able to start upper body again in 3 weeks tops, i know i'm going to loose some size the next few weeks espicaly beacuse the test just finnaly shut me down. But what would you guys recommend for a split when i can hit it again?

I'm thinking a 4 day a week split of
Day 1 chest
Day 2 back
Day 3 off
Day 4 shoulders
Day 5 arms
day 6 off
day 7 off

Or

Day 1 chest shoulders
day 2 off
Day 3 Back
day 4 off
day 5 Arms
day 6 off
day 7 off

I would like to still use the Mountain dog training program( though i will be saving my money to hire John when i'm fully recovered. Any input would be great just trying to not break down and give in to the sadness.

For the time being, during the time you are not training, you should keep doses low for aas. 200mgs of test is sufficient. If you really want to add deca during this time, 200mgs is plenty as well. No need to go higher IMO. You just want to add enough so you are maintaining muscle mass.
 
Plenty of good advice already on substances, but as for training, not sure how limited you'll be, but if you are stuck in the house for awhile unable to drive, resistance bands will keep you active and blood moving.

I tore both quad tendons completely off the patella squatting. both at the same time , luckily had the safety rack in place (always use it). I had 2 full leg casts after the surgery for 8 weeks. No driving or work for that long. I only left home to go to doc appointments my wife drove me to, and once in awhile she'd drop me and my crutches off at Gold's to do upper body. I lost 5 inches in my quads by the time therapy started, but I got back 3.5 or so of them less than 2 years later.

It aint the end of the world by any means, just stay active and keep blood in your other muscles. There's a pic of me in the member's photo's thread of me in a competition less than 2 years after the injury. I had a ways to go, but still was able to get up there, and all things considered, looked respectable.
 
I never tore my hamstring, but I did have a stage 3 strain ( it was a few years ago so my lingo might be off). One thing training wise that helped me was to train just my good leg. Once the injury healed, the injured one caught up pretty quickly. I would also do extremely light leg press(like just the sled) just so I didn't lose as much range of motion.
