Many of those online dating sites members are either scammers or horny perverted individuals who are only trying to find naive women or kids to prey on. Hardly any serious future spouses. Sure, sometimes you find a couple who have become successfully married after meeting on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or even SnapChat. It happens but rarely.
