Open heart surgery to replace arteries

Yes estrogen is cardio protective for women, not so for me. Since you can`t read the whole study, check the conclusion:

Conclusion:

Low testosterone and estrogen levels correlate with coronary artery disease.

you wanna learn more, GO LEARN! I`m not gonna spoon feed you more info. Reference (9) was also a study about only women.
Its saying that low testosterone and low estrogen coincide with increased CHD.

This is from the Discussion (summary at the end) >>>> Our data shows that testosterone and estrogen are lower in CHD patients than in healthy controls Moreover, sex hormone levels are age-dependent. In this study the mean case age was 60.01, indicating that testosterone and estrogen levels decline with age and this can lead to cardiovascular disease. We have demonstrated that estrogen and testosterone deficiency is associated with coronary artery disease that leads to heart attack in men. Many of the CAD patients in this study required cardiac surgery. We can conclude that testosterone and estrogen supplementation not only can prevent bone disease but also CAD.

Yes #9 was for women, it still did nothing to strengthen or weaken either of our claims but the main article you cited still argues against your position.

Theres nothing to spoon feed me, or anyone else. There is no study that I have ever seen that backs up the claim you made, especially in the context of AAS use in men.

Afterwards you probably did look for and find a few worthless studies that you knew would get shredded into confetti and just gave up.

Im not the one who needs to go learn something. Maybe actually read the articles you plan to use before posting them next time.

Man I have had open heart surgery myself. My Dr told me no test a month prior and did not get the go ahead until 6 months later for trt. I know your case was an emergency but what do you have to lose taking a few months off. I did 6 months but was advised by my dr.
I told them that I was on TRT and they did not tell me to stop or ask me when my last dose was before or after surgery. They used mamory arteries for 2 of the replacements and for the vital arteries and a vein from my leg for the other 2. I mentioned it again when I went in for my check up and they did not seem to concerned with me taking it but I will stop taking it now. I have only had one .5cc shot since I I have been in recovery. The only reason I took the one shot after surgery is because I felt like complete crap one I got home from th hospital and could not function or think. I stop it till I heal completely and ask the doctors again about it to see if they give me an answer.

Discontinuing TRT would only make things worse. Adding hypogonadism (testosterone deficiency) to a cardiovascular problem when you’re trying to recover from surgery is only going to cause more problems, not to mention slow recovery your sternum being cut open.

As for anything else, I would wait until you’re 100% recovered and ready to train again before thinking of increasing your testosterone dose a little bit. I wouldn’t use any more than 2iu HGH either. The most important thing is to keep blood pressure (main thing) and ApoB/LDL under control.

In any case, I do wish you a speedy recovery and glad you got this checked out!

In the context of HRT or recreational Testosterone use, are you able to link a study showing elevated E2 contributes to heart disease? (or any context whatsoever)

As for comorbidities, you are probably talking about estrogen feeding certain types of tumors. I can say the same thing about testosterone, it too feeds certain types of tumors.
To add to you and @hogan87 ‘s discussion

High estradiol in men who are not on testosterone is usually a consequence of insulin resistance or another variable, hence its association with heart problems. Causality has not been established by just high estradiol. It’s like how cardiomyopathy is a consequence of high blood pressure and not the other way around.

Therefore, we can’t prove that high estradiol from high testosterone causes cardiovascular disease.

I just told you what my Dr. said if they don't seem concerned, I wouldn't stop. You try and pick up anything after surgery? I know I couldn't even lift my backpack,,lol

Glad your surgery was a success.

To clarify, when you went into the ER with chest pain, did you have a heart attack? Or was it just angina caused by poor blood flow?
I did not have a heart attack felt like it but I did not. Docs ran test and said I do not have one but was on my way to having one if I did not come to the ER. So I caught it before it happened.
