Opinions on Overtraining?

During those 2 weeks do you do any weight training at all?

Curious if it would be better to not lift at all for those 2 weeks, or do something like a minimum effective volume (MEV) of 4 sets per week (for each bodypart) just to try and limit any muscle atrophy during that time...
I take a deload every 4-8 weeks. I usually know it's time when I'm thinking ahead to how I can adjust my routine for the next "blast". If I have any thoughts about tweaking a few things that tells me I'm not totally into what I'm doing now so physical and mental fatigue has accumulated.

As to what to do for that week, 10 days, 2 weeks just recover IMO. Don't need a perfect plan, have some cardio, hit the gym a few times very brief workout, stretch, sauna etc. Don't need a set routine on a deload this is a time to relax recover. Just don't get fat or train so much you don't recover
 
only time I feel over trained is if I went 100% in everyday in the gym; extreme high intensity
 
I'm 47. It's funny but I never counted cardio as working out. I prefer cardio fasted unless I do a second session, then obviously it's not fasted. As a lightweight I could lift weight 2 times a day 3 on 1 off for certain period of time, don't remember exactly, like I said usually pre-contest. As a middleweight I could do it also just less amount of weeks. As a lower end light-heavy diffently could not.
Yea same here as a MW and before that a Marine 156 lbs I could overtrain and make it ok obviously we lifted lighter and of course being 20 years younger doesn’t hurt. I cardio extremely hard so I count it as “training” my light walks no but I do weight vests push my kid in a huge Jeep stroller that with him weighs 40 lbs so an hour of either of those and I’m fuckin smoked. Other than that it’s stepmill which I do at my upper limit all 60 minutes
