OT- Biker wave

Just said goodbye to my Moto Guzzi last week. Here it is getting trailered away to a new home. I'll find something to replace it soon I hope.

I don't know how in the hell you ride that fast on a bike. It get scared a bit driving my car that fast, cant imagine it on a bike.

Do you ever worry about what happens if you hit a big rock or bump in the road and it throws your bike to one side and you wipe out? If you crash at that speed I doubt you have any chance of living. I think about that kind of shit when I am going like that in my 911. id like to do that on a bike though!

You hit ANYTHING going that fast not on a racetrack and I guarantee your chance of survival is 0.00

When its time to move up to a big boy bike fellas look into Harley Softail Slim. Classic and bad ass. I bought one over the winter. Tones of power but doesnt feel like a huge bike. Feet flat on the grand but its still big enough. Like a 48 but big enough.

Water cooled inline 6,1900 cc.

I only bring my Ducati to the Ducati dealership. I had Akrapovics on my R1 but have Termignoni full Ti exhaust on the Duc and LOVE THEM!

I have the M40 slipon , the guy I got it from stuck it on. But after watching a few YouTube vids of your exhaust, one has been ordered lol.
Ducati’s are great but you’re right , it’s a lot of money if anything goes wrong plus you need to find someone that knows how to work on them well.... my brother learned the hard way on his 996 with the service costs

Been riding street since '86,dirt since '75. If another rider waves to me,I'll wave back. I have a few slow turds in the garage, have only owned Suzuki's for the past 30yrs.

Yep, 20 or so years.

I live one hour from the German Autobahn....but I get there in 35 minutes. :D

Currently riding a Yamaha R1. It's been my favorite so far. But love the 750 and 1000 GSXR.

Have had some V Twin race bikes back in the day. Easier to get out of turns in the wrong gear when you're news. More torque.

Had Harley's, Road King and a Wide Glide. They had to go though. They felt dangerous compared to the Sport Bikes.

Man, well done! Those are nasty. I mean "good" nasty, like my gf. Not bad nasty like a Prius.

It's really relative, Mal. When you first get on a big liter bike or even a fast 600, it seems suicidal going 60mph. But then you get to a track or on a highway where there are a LOT of guys going fast and it seems reasonable somehow. Because everyone near you is going more or less the same speed. Out where I live, there are groups of guys street racing in Germany where it's more or less legal. Very very fast. Lots of these bikes go 200 mph now and the guys want to break that speed for themselves.

I never ride (like that on the street) near people I don't know well. Dudes like to randomly hit the brake for no reason.

Still though, yeah. It crosses your mind. When you see someone eat it, you know you don't wanna do that. But probably will. I have.

Track is better, then you're just really unhappy as you watch your bike come apart and know your summer just got worse. :(

Lol thanks man. A 300rwhp 1000 is almost as fun to ride as a 550rwhp Busa;)

When you are going that fast small holes in the road don`t exist, you fly straight over it. The roads where I`m at are perfect. It`s not broke ass california, no frost heaves or busted up mess from snow plows. I rarely go that fast but if I do the roads gotta be wide open, not on country roads either where wildlife can walk out. Prefer only day time too. I like the 20-80mph acceleration getting on freeway

I wiped out doing 80mph 13 years ago (my fault). Asphalt luge at 80mph with a jacket on, jeans, boots, helmet...I got up and walked back to bike, road it another 1/2 mile to where I was going with a bent front rim and flat tire. It`s not the slide that kills you, its what you slide into, under, off of a cliff, that will kill you.

LOL, not a chance!

turbo or blown v-rod geared correctly can. But i get it you are anti harley. Thats cool hahah

How many harley`s are blown or turbo? Not many! They are not sport bikes. Harley is a status symbol. I feel Yamaha and many Asian company`s do a better cruiser than Harley, but they obviously have a longer history and marketing. They are just a different crowd. I don`t wave to grandpa`s and their fat girlfriends after 3rd divorce. ;)

I have had probably 8-9 bikes and my current harley 3 years. I feel way safer on it with 200hp than i did with my R1 and CBR1000. Im under 40 and most my girlfriends have tight waistlines and big asses :D

Dont get me wrong i love any bike or car with power. My harley turns way more heads and drops way more panties than any of my jap bikes have. In saying that i hate having a passenger. Bikes are designed for one person lol

This was one of the most coveted bikes that I've owned over the years, anybody know what it is? :D
Most riders confused it for a 1st Gen GSXR although it's clearly not lol

I have no clue but that’s a classic old school sport bike. Reminds me of the old ninjas and cbrs, the coolest old sport bike has to be the Ninja GPZ 900R like in Top Gun lol
