OT - fishing

Well, thought w/ my divorce i'd fish alot more this spring, NOT, damn thing knocked me for a loop, and when i could or wanted to go it was rough seas... Well, caught up at my nursery, seas are good this week, so it's on like the Flintstones... Going about 25 miles offshore tomorrow to try and load up on Red Snapper and grouper, as well as other fish like king mackerel (give those away), cobia, mangrove snapper, amberjack, dolphin (mahi), and maybe a tuna... taking my lady friend Wedns, then going back Fri night and fishing Saturday and Sunday, seas permitting...

Anyone else into reeling in toothy tasty critters?

yeah man, we usually go out from Steinhatchee. That place is like the land that time forgot. Gotta go out a ways before it gets deep but we do good with the reds and trout in the flats. Nice sharks in close too..

not really into bait fishing and sea fishing. I always get sea sick.

I do fly fish and lure fish alot when I get the chance to. Oh and I am not one of those fly fishers who thinks they are the shit and that anyone who bait fishes is cheating and that everything should be catch and release and barbless only. LOL I hate those d-bags.

I just enjoy being able to see the fish come up and take a fly that you tied yourself.

my brother does a ton of steelhead and salmon year round. thank god for him he supplies me with free fish almost year round!

went striper and black sea bass last week and got 2 30lb and about 30 black bass.


we dont have to many big game fish up in ma. i sure would love to get 2 fl and do some fishin. good luck man

dont really get to go deep sea fishing much anymore cuz its about 4 hrs away. I wish i was closer to the sea. I was born and raised down in New Orleans and did alot of fishing in the gulf and gator fishing. miss those good ole days. Now and these days all I've been doing alot of stripper fishing which is Alot of fun also. Man I love fishing!!!

Bass and Trout fishing for me

I have a 130 gallon fish tank with a self caught largemouth, smallmouth, blue gill and channel cat. I had a brown trout too but the water was too warm He's now fertilizing the garden.

Now that would be an awesome fishing adventure! My wife works with a girl from Russia whose brother is an avid salmon fisherman. She told my wife if we ever want to go to Russia we could stay with her family and her brother could take me fishing. Unfortunately, her family lives nowhere near the Kamchatka Peninsula.

I've been catching keeper size schoolie stripers for the last 2 weeks.


If you want the big ones though, you gotta try going for yellow fin on the other side of the vineyard!

We hammered the Red Snapper, but no grouper the damn "endangered" red snapper are so thick and aggressive the grouper can't get to the bait.... Also caught cobia and amberjack... good day
