Well as we cannot really "see" electrons or even larger subatomic particles, i dont see anything strange in this. An electron exists in a certain "orbit" if you will, which means that it can be located in any part of this orbit at a given time, which is what we see. (the whole orbit). Also bear in mind that an electron can behave as both a particle and a wave.
sub atomic particles are pretty crazy, like the fact that the more that we know about where they are the less we know about their speed, and the more we know about their speed the less we know about their location...weird...
