Having been working in the system for almost 20 years I find it highly unlikely that charges were dropped against him so quickly

If they did drop charges, a few things comes to mind. They were drop on some technical legality, which is highly unlikely at scheduled stings. The could also drop charges for more evidence to build a stronger case. Just because they dropped charges for now, doesn't mean they can't pursue and bring up charges later.

Bottom line, the minute a girl says she is 15, you don't go to hotel and still want sex if you thought she was 20 initially. Nah, he still pursued it. You can bet they will watch him with a close eye. He is now marked.

Yea I just found out the judge also said this is not a dismiss and they can press charges up to 3 years.
But a lawyer said the chances are very small

I knew a gigantic homeboy from Cali who was NLR and got arrested in AZ and ended up at my prison. Dudes name was Decker and he was about 6’9” 340. Absolutely HUGE. Had to wear leg restraints as handcuffs.
We also had a cat who was the tax collector for the eme on the unit I was on. He got out and then came back, and the eme found out he had been using the money to buy things for himself and his family. We found him stabbed 72 times with his eyeballs cut out and a broken broom shoved up his ass.
Also had a guy kill his chomo cellie with a single razor blade by filling a pillowcase with books and tying it up and then bashing him unconcious while he was sleeping. He took the razor blade and cut off his genitals and then cut out his voice box. Pretty brutal doing cpr on that dude

He went on a dating website, met a cop that said she was 20 and then she decided to get a hotel room, and then told my friend right before meeting up she's 15, friend said that's too young and stopped responding, but then they had a female cop called him and told him she's okay with it, it's not a big deal, etc and he ended up going.

So again, if I found out he was seeking under aged girls, or he was into that shit, or had child pornography in his devices etc, I'd be thinking about this situation differently.

He's not a pedophile by nature but what he did puts him there.

I agree with all of you, especially fathers who have daughters. But what if you had a son, brother, father that made that mistake, would you turn your back and not try to help
