Banana spiders live in thick wooded areas and way high up in the trees. Plus they are 5 times larger and nastier looking than the one in the picture. Plus I've never seen their webbing to look anything like that either.

That one looks like all the spiders I've walked into hunting or fishing in N Fla, Se Ga. and we've always called them Banana spiders, all I know is when you turn a corner and hit the web with your face its all back up and slap til your freinds just about piss them selves laughing at you. J.R.

The camel spider may be the biggest but the Funnel Web spider here in Australia holds the honor for the deadliest spider in the world. Looks evil!! and it is. Neurotoxin for venom that attacks your cns. Shuts down your breathing and it also necratizes flesh.

I pulled up some facts on camel spiders and they are not venomous.
other facts
Can travel at speeds of up to 10 miles an hour
Diet consists of lizards,insects and and sometimes small birds
And this picture as far as size exagerates abit. largest they get
is up to 6 inches not including the legs.

So apparently the bird eating spider still holds the record for size
And yes the funnel web is the deadliest as far as venom.
