ot: my mri results

so i got the results back today from my second mri (i had two in 3 weeks) and all in all it seems that not only do i have signs of trauma from my accident, but possible microvascular ischemic disease which would mean there is a lack of blood flow to the brain. now it states that this is not (in the radiologists opinion) from any previous injury, which means its most likely do to my accident. fine and dandy, but of course the adjuster is fighting me tooth and nail to pay for anything i need. not only am i now dealing with this, but i am suffering from post concussion syndrome, migraines from hell, vertigo, cervical nerve damage, neck spasms, pain in the area my staples were, and a muscle knot in my trap the size of ronnie coleman, but the stress of dealing with insurance adjusters. isn't life gran...CJ

Damn, sorry to hear about your trouble. I guess you made a post in the past about the accident? I think i may have read it but cannot recall. Ever since my heart attack my brain has crappy memory!

What are the doctors saying the next step is? Is anyway to treat this with drugs or surgery?

im doing my P/T for my neck/shoulder issues, but to quote the doc...WE CANT JUST CUT A PIECE OF THE BRAIN OUT...im on meds for the pain and for the vertigo, and i see the neurologist 1xmonth. but even getting meds is a bunch red tape..i mean i even have to take random drug tests to make sure im not abusing my vicodins then one min a doc is approved by the insurance company, next they no longer are...meanwhile im waiting 2 weeks to get auth for the visit and or meds. its just ridiculous. It is a travesty what has happened to medical care in this country and I fear that the way this country is headed things are only going to get worse. Ive never heard of that random testing, wow. It sounds like your insurance company is not very popular with doctors, that or they are very picky.

I am lucky that I didnt have too much shit to deal with when I had my heart attack. I hope things get better because one thing you dont need right now is the added stress from this crap. I feel for you!

Thank you bro i appreciate that greatly...yea its a huge headache, one i don't need nor appreciate having. I'll give you an example; i had an mri scheduled, after 3 weeks of waiting they finally sent auth. then the week of the mri they contact me, and tell me that i can't have my mri at this clinic because they're not "IN NETWORK", mind you they sent me to this clinic to begin with. guess what...i had my mri at the 1st clinic any way, so it was a huge run a round for absolutely no reason!!! now i ask myself, what this has anything to do with my well being, and care? its a huge problem, instead of coming after athletes, why don't they come after these insurance companies that care more about the mighty dollar, than they do the health of any of us!!! CJ

BTW, God bless you bro for everything you went through!! i'm glad you pulled through everything!!!!
