The best chance of keeping LeBron in Cleveland is if he thinks that by staying he'll win a number of championships. He can make more $$$ on and off the court in larger markets, like NY or LA. But if his chances of winning rings in those markets is low, he'll be willing to take slightly less $$$ and have the legacy of winning championships.

If he doesn't think Cleveland can do it, or if he doesn't think Cleveland is dedicated to surrounding him with the guys needed to win, he'll leave, IMO.

I should have been more careful about how I phrased it. He'll make more money when you combine his on-court and off-court take in a larger market, than what he'll make in Cleveland. Nike and his other major sponsors would much rather him be in NY or LA.

The little twist is that the Cavs are 10% owned by the Chinese, and LeBron sells almost as many shoes, jerseys and hats as Yao Ming. So the Cavs merchandising sales is pretty nice.

When Amare gets guarded by the bigs and Artest, he won't shine as much. Nash is a great offensive player and Fisher a great defender, should be a great matchup. Lakers in 6, I can't see Phoinex in the paint against them.

The Lakers dont get me wrong are a sick team.
Kobe is well, I dont really need to say anything about Kobe
Artest isnt a great offensive player, Gasol is great, Fisher isnt that bad , Nash is better deffinately offensively, I think Gasol and Amare will be good.
Suns Bench is solid though with Dudley, Frye, Drajic is playing like a champ, Barbosa isnt playing as well as he should but Lakers have well
Walton, Odom is good, Farmar is ok i guess
so honestly this one I am not sure about.

Gotta disagree 100% here. If it were about winning, he would have never signed with Cleveland, or he would have opted out of his contract by now. If you lead the NBA in wins, but can't win in the playoffs, does it matter? NO
It's all about money. Yeah he wants a championship, but he wants $30 million more. You can try to disagree, but think logically, if he says to trade hime and he takes less money to play for, let's say LA or Orlando, he'd have a ring right now but his bank account wouldn't be as high. The reason Michael Jordan is the greatest player of ALL TIME, is because when he have a crap night of 15pts, his team still won because he made them all better. Granted he had Pippen and others, Scotty didn't fair too well when MJ left. Great players make others shine

"if he says trade me" Why in their right minds would Cleveland trade him? He cant demand a trade. 30mil over the course of a contract means nothing to a guy who could easily make up for it with endorsement deals. Lebron does make the players around him better, its just that these players are not that good with or without him. He will get a max contract wherever he goes and he has a better chance to win with another team. Cleveland is OLD

1. It was a "must win" game for the Cavs.
2. He has a history of choking in big games.
3. If the Cavs don't make it past the 2nd round (probably if they don't win it all), he won't be with the team next year.
4. To be fair, Boston is a LOT better than people give them credit for.

Hope you don't mind a new guy chiming in. First let me say, Go Magic! Ok now that that's out of the way... a coupe of things here. Lebron is the man, however I heard from an NBA trainer today that Lebron is the man with a seriously injured elbow. He didn't have an off game. He just couldn't shoot for shit because his elbow was KILLING him the entire game. Bad news for his team because elbows don't get better over night, and without that boy...

Personally I want to see Shaq vs our boy Howard. I think the young pup will really put it to the old fat man. However if Boston wins we would be in trouble. One thing working against us that could keep the Magic from winning everything. Boston has seasoned players that know how to beat us. If you force Howard into foul trouble you've taken away our three's. Our three's are what beat the hell out of a team, and the only way we get open threes is if Howard is being double teamed. Don't double team Howard and we get instant twos and don't need the threes. Everybody on our damn bench can shoot threes so you can't win by trying to get Carter, Nelson, Barnes, Lewis, Pietrus, Bass or the rest of the bench to foul out. You have to remove Howard, and Boston is smart enough and skilled enough to do it.

Boston can't beat the Lakers though so there ya have it. If Boston loses this set then it's Magic against Lakers and I can't call that one. If Boston wins then the Lakers win the whole show. That's my take.
