Hey guys so I'm always trying to learn more regarding health and otc supplements regarding this issue. I've been learning a lot espeically from Dantes posts but am always looking to learn more as I think we are never down learning. So these are my daily otc supps I take so just looking for input on them if I'm missing any impt ones. Thx in advance

Fish oil
Vit d
Curcurmin
Garlic
Ublinquinol
Liver support blend
Probiotics with each meal
Enzymes with each meal

Debating adding
-citrus bergamot
- Vit e
- carditone (on hand but bp is good )
-adrenal support ( any suggestions )
- greens formula ( any suggestions)
- humanafort ( see a lot guys use this )
 
Aren't most probiotics only recommended to take once a day?

yes that's correct. that's what the general consensus is. empty stomach before breakfast . that's how I take my probiotics

vinegar before meals if you wish to curb the appetite. when I run them I do take them 30 min before meals

I'd throw in some prebiotics such as, artichokes, onions, garlic, tomatoes and kefir. I'd also add some resistance starches like unmodified potato starch. Your microbiome and mitochondria will thank you. Probiotics work in concert with prebiotics.

I'd also without question, take a sublingual form of melatonin every night. 3mg should suffice.,

Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant. There are also studies that it suppresses somatostatin.
 
zinc, magnesium and b12 should be on everyones list.

I feel naked without glutathione and superoxide dismutase...

how strictly u recommend sublingual method ? the reason I ask is I have tried all sort of melatonin. natrol fast dissolve and then now capsules as normal , then I also tried them via sublingual method so I would open the capsules and out the powder under my tongue and take it like that . then I came across Schiff melatonin ultra brand which has 3 mg melatonin and GABA and fee other calming herbs so been using that but they are tabs so can't take it sublingual obviously. I take 3 tabs of them so 9 mg melatonin. should I switch back to now melatonin and go back to opening capsules and having the powders sublingual . I do remember it did hit me much faster that way. many thanks

I take the Natrol brand 10mg fast/slow release ones that have b6 in them. I tried all brands this one seemed to work best so far for me.
 
For what its worth ( not much) im definitely the minority on here but I take 4000ius of vit D daily and a gram of vitamin C when i remember. I dont own any other supplements that i take on a somewhat daily basis.

The rest I like to think that I get in my diet. I go out of my way to try to buy really good quality foods, while i dont buy into the whole " organic is amazing" thing I do try to but organic whenever possible but i dont go crazy about it. I eat lots of veggies and other stuff daily that shouldnt leave me with too many holes in my diet but Vit D is needed especially given my job and how ive spent the last 14 years inside most of the day.

Some people will need more for optimal health depending of a few factors but for myself thats how i approach it. No idea if im in great health or really should be doing more but I do my best.

I will say though that after being on this board I was/am considering throwing in some curcumin but i still keep going back and forth about that and the type and whether its worth it. It takes a lot to get me to add stuff but i am considering that but not quite there yet.

Wow first I heard ! That's why im on here to learn. Melatonin usually makes people groggy next am but I guess 3 mg is not much ?

Yeah 3mg isn't much. Most studies done are with 3-5mg. Stewie knows much more than I on the subject.

Hey bro I noticed only 200 Cucurmin a wk? I thought standard is like 450 daily? And 10 mg melatonin does that make u groggy next day ? And Vit k2 2200 daily ? I thought standard was like 500. ? Sorry just trying to learn here

The vit K2 mcg not mg its life extension brand mix of menaquione 4 and 7 its mcg not mg.

Curcurmin 450mg daily is oral use you don't need that much to get some benefit other ways ;)


no 10mg works good for me as long as I get 6-7hrs sleep take 20min before bed half is quick release other is long release.

well i can chime in on this thread. i do spend a lot more on vitamins/herbs than on aas per year. alas, i don't use hgh though, peptides moreso.
