When doing barbell curls getting lots of pain in outer forearms from what feels like a form of tendinitis or localized water retention, but my frriend say its from the winn, which is it ? Could it be both plus that movement ? Anyone else get this ?

hey bro

i cant really explain WHY but i have this also. I always had my forarms get PUMPS from basically everything even picking up weights. But youre not alont with the outter forearm pain. I dunno if its from winny. I'm currently not on winny and i still have it.

How hard are you squeezing with your hands?
Do you flex your wrist during any of the movement.

Once I stopped these I don't get the pain anymore.

And barbell curls are notorious for that.

Oh ya....If you find your forearm is wearing out before your bicep you def are squeezing to hard. Hold the weight just tight enough not to drop it and let your bicep do the movement.

i also get this exact same pain...during back workouts my forearm gets so pumped i cant even tighten my grip or pull a weight..

Pain

I get this pain too, something that keeps the pain down for me is keeping the wrist straight as you curl rather than letting the weight pull down on your wrist. It helps some. I also ice them down for 10-15 minutes at a time. Icing them down hurts for the first few minutes but it goes numb after awhile. I don't take Winn and never have and mine hurt like hell sometimes.

I stopped doing bb curls and do a hammer type curl with my wrist in a natural position and have had better gains with no pain at all.. I squeeze very hard and feel like i get a better pump..

all good

all good feedback, I stopped doing brbell curls because of the pain yet I still wondered what caused the pain. thanks
