About three years ago after some tests and doctor visits I was diagnosed with Parkisons, Its gotten worse since then. Not wanting to go the traditional route for treatment I tried glutathione IVs, Humanofort and lately LDN (low dose naltrexon) with no success. The trembling in my left arm and leg is having a negative impact on what I love to do most weight training. I have to focus all my attention to those body parts while training. Its becoming quite anoying I get some strange looks when I hand someone a piece of paper with my left hand or reach for something and miss it I dont want anyone at my work to know but its getting hard to hide. I was hoping to slow the progression with the treatments I have tried but no luck. I am reluctant to go to a nerologist and start the standard drug therapy from what I have read and the people that I have talked to with this disease the side effects from the meds are pretty bad.

I was wondering if anyone else here is dealing with this?

I don't know if it's pre-parkinsons or not, but for the last 6 months I've had shaking of several fingers, and I don't have the grip I used to have. CoQ10 in the higher doses is supposed to help, but you may be to far along..
Good Luck!!!

Check you email.

I'm not personally, but my dad has it. I'd love to find a way to help him, if you make headway please share it with us. I hope it goes well for you brother.

Hey brother I am really sorry to hear this! When you are talking about the typical parkinson's drugs are you talking about dopamine agonists like caber or prami?

Got ur email Emeric Ill call you sometime this weekend Thanks!

Ya Fstrcobra there are like five primary drugs two of which you mentioned the doses are pretty high for the disease.
I dont know why the past couple weeks my left index finger and thumb have been shaking so bad I can hardly use them?

Leevadopa is the most popular drug but it has many drawbacks nausea is one

Thinking about trying acupucture next

Correction Levodopa

interesting. I have seen videos on the glut IV's in elderly and seemed promising. the one thing tome that jumps out is that they are using big doses usually.

have you tried regular im admin of this compound say in the 600-1200mg wk range?

also the other antiox inject SOD as there is a relation between the two.

pterostilbene really jumps out as applicable here because of the nerve excition aspects, though resveratrol may be helpful too.

have you played with alc at all? again strong cns reaction.

try using agents that help the cns and practice the movements you have trouble with. I would think trying to create new nerve innerventions would be the way to slow the progress of this.

while its pretty different I had a friend with epilepsy phenobarbital helped her seizures and tremors a lot as did cannabis. the combination made her ok when her siezures got really bad.

Another post, I had to do a little research - marijuana is used with great success in treating Parkinsons symptoms.. Hope this helps..

Thoughts and prayers with you buddy! Good Luck and I'm sorry I can't be more help.

ok, how about Thymosin b 4, I posted this in the peptide section awhile back.

Researcher Reports That RegeneRx's Thymosin Beta 4 Can Trigger Maturation Of Brain Stem Cells

Thymosin Beta 4stimulates oligodendrogenesis, the process by which central nervous system (CNS) progenitor cells (immature specialized brain cells) become oligodendrocytes that secrete myelin, the covering of nerve fibers. This process is important for the repair, regeneration and function of CNS tissue damaged by disease or trauma.

Melatonin with IGF/ Growth Hormone

Moriya, et.al. (2007) demonstrated that melatonin at pharmacologic doses exerts potent modulatory effect on the differentiation of neural stem cells during the proliferation phase and during the differentiation phase of the process, both increasing and decreasing neurogenesis respectively. Fernandez-Tresguerres Hernandez (2004) had presented data supporting these findings but added an additional interesting insight. There appears to be synergistic facilitation of neurogenesis by the combination of human growth hormone or IGF1 together with melatonin

Cabergoline is also being used to treat Parkinsons in the early phase. I've been researching on this myself since I've also experienced tremors the same way for that past 3-4 years.
