man i like that guys build... he's put together well, flows nice and thick as shit bricks...LOL im a new fan!
here's what i dont understand though, why do all the competitors in these european shows seem to be so much bigger ,harder, and drier than in our american shows??? i mean, look at every one of those guys and they are all in GREAT shape, with small tight waists, they would dominate our shows if they came over here. why is that? drugs, diet, training style...?
I believe this is somewhat of a misnomer. The pics you see from European shows are always from the very top level shows, similar to our Nationals (if not even bigger). If you look at pics from smaller shows in Europe, you'll find out-of-shape guys just like you will here in the states. You'll also find guys with ugly shapes and lack of conditioning at the bigger shows in Europe too, it's just that nobody posts or looks at their pics online.
Still, I think to a certain extent the top Europeans might be employing better (or at least different) training, diet and supplementation strategies than their American counterparts. Also, bodybuilding has a bigger following over there (public following) and there is more national pride in doing well, etc.. similar to the Olympics (the big shows have representatives from each country).
ok, i can see that being the case. would you agree that maybe the quality of food over there is better than here? everything is so processed here in the US that it makes me wonder if some of the nutritional quality is being sacrificed. i have never been to europe but when i think about the food over there it seems to all be very organic and pretty much unprocessed.
I have been to the US and the food is a hell of a lot cheaper than over here and you have a lot more variety, supplements are much cheaper too. Gear is really cheap in Russia and readily available.

Yes I'm sure it depends on what country we're talking about too, socioeconomic status, etc..
Stoil Stoilov (who won the middleweight class at last year's Jr Nats, and the Master's LHW class at this year's North Americans) told me that when he was living in Bulgaria he basically had to choose between spending money on good meat, or spending money on a gym membership. He said it was very hard to afford both.
