I'm ow 2 days out! Sounds crazy saying that.

So the prep has been going well.

Towards the end (around 2 weeks out) weight started to drop fast so I added food to stabilise it and get it to hold as normal. My weight stayed steady so it worked but the last 3 days now my weight has been going up. I've gained 3lbs over these 3 days without changing anything other than stopping cardio and not going to failure in the gym.

Obviously, seeing the scale going up so close is a head fook! But I know the scale shouldn't matter.

Is this just normal and due to me filing out?
 
Bro, we already talked about this on the PM. I told you - you’re ready. So if your weight is going up during the peak week, be happy, it just means you’re getting fuller. You’re in such good shape, so shredded, that there’s no way you can mess this up. If your weight was dropping, then I’d be worried. But it’s going up - so relax and be happy about it.
 
scale weight means fuck all in a peak week unless you are in a weight controlled class. Can we see some pics asap? are you doing a front load, or rapid back load? I am assuming you are not being coached and rolling solo?

I'm not doing any loading.

Just eating my usual diet which has been 600c 390p trace fats.

Only thing I planned to do Today I was going to reduce protein to 200 and replace the 190 protein with 190 carbs so cals are same but higher carbs.

You dropped cardio and reduced intensity in the gym to pump work. Your body is burning less calories and just filling out. This is exactly what you want to happen. Trust the process and the mirror.

See how I look tomorrow then base the diet off each meal and mirror and not just fixing macros
 
i always found a very quick reload did well for me. without spilling over.
nothing much, but maybe a few waffles and some scattered, covered and smothered hash.

Man, hangry bodybuilders on tren, peak week and Waffle House sounds like an episode of COPS in the making….
 
Don’t stress about the scale man. Honestly it’s just an additional tool to monitor a trend. The mirror and pictures are what you should looking at. If you’re gaining weight and still getting leaner/harder then I’d say it’s a win win.

What are you doing with fats? When do u plan to add them in? You can either keep going trace fat and wait for the carbs to also fill intramuscular triglycerides or you can slowly add fat. Could potentially keep from having to up carbs from a food volume standpoint.

Will just help the carb load stick, and easier to hold

In practice, something like replenishing intramuscular triglycerides is not noticeable in the real world - guys stop confusing him with "great" advice
 
I also avoid consuming fats during carb-up. I prefer to eat more carbohydrates instead. Fats additionally slow down gastric motility, which is not desirable before a show.

I wasn’t saying to eat them everyday but they can help
 
Don’t really have anything new to add to what’s already been said

Only to reiterate that it makes sense that if you reduce cardio and burn less calories in the gym at a calorie level that weight was holding steady at that weight would probably start to increase

But that increase isn’t a bad thing especially if it’s mostly just glycogen filling up the muscles. You’ll have to add some glycogen at some point—the slow and steady approach, with mirror checks, and photo updates makes more sense especially if you’re self-coaching rather than trying to try to backload the carbs aggressively and spilling over and/or having digestion issues going into the show from the sudden food increase.

As long as you look better in the mirror and photos that’s really what matters, but I think everyone here also understands how much of a mindfuck the scale can be sometimes
 
At 2 days out the main thing I would be cutting back on is PM and Social media :)

I agree with this...stay focused, stay out of your head, and stay on the path youve been on. You got here on your own, you can finish it on your own.Be careful as the mind will play tricks with so many different suggestions.
