This is true, but doing that is more about correcting a problem which I have done many times but is not ideal.

Carb depletion and load

I have a question about my dep and load.
I have an example of what I do before a show. The first meal plan is for depletion which I follow 4 days starting on saturday 1 week before the show. The second meal plan is for load which a follow 2 days (wed, thu), my show is on Friday morning.
I train during depletion still hard, but don't train on wed, thu. On these 2 days I hit all mandatory poses like 5-7 minutes before each meal to strengthen the glycogen uptake
what is your opinion I appreciate any advice thank you so much for this forum

Meal 1
12 egg whites
4oz wheat

Meal 2
7 oz cod
6oz sweet potato

Post w-out
2 scoops whey

Meal 3
7 oz cod
4oz sweet potato
1 cup broccoli

Meal 4
8oz cod
spinach salad

Meal 5
8oz cod
asparagus

Meal 6
2 scoops whey
1tbsp fish oil


And carb loading:

20 minutes lite cardio
No more BCAA
Meal One:
3 oz. cream of wheat, 8 oz. steak, 2 whole eggs.
Meal Two:
6 oz. chicken, 12oz. sweet potato
Meal Three:
6 oz. chicken, 1.5 cups white rice.
Meal Four:
6 oz chicken, 12 oz. sweet potato.
Meal Five:
6 oz. chicken, 1.5 cups white rice.
Meal Six:
6 oz. chicken, 12 oz. sweet potato.
Meal seven:
6 oz. chicken, 1.5 cups white rice.


Tuesday, drink plenty of water.
wednesday, only 32 oz. water all day.
Thursday, only sips.
Friday the day of my show- none water

Sounds kinda old school but if it works for you then stick with it , I personaly don't like trying to taper the water down that far out
