Peanut Butter Fans Rejoice!?!?!

When I was much younger and bigger I could get away with more, burned a helluva lot more... 1/2 jar a day when bulking, and I stayed under 15% bf @ 275-280. At my age I can't afford more than about 3K cals a day without smoothing out, so PB is strictly a cheat food.

I'm not old like you...haha only 51. Peanut butter and a honey sandwich with a glass of milk is my pre workout meal. Now when I start dipping into the potato chips and ice cream I get myself in trouble!

Its about consuming peanut butter and not gaining fat.

Peanut butter is a high calorie dense food. The study said, eating peanut butter shows not gain in fat.

Hope you can share your experiences and stick to the topic.
 
Again, as I said earlier, what does it matter if you still stick to your overall macros? I eat about 4 TBSP's/day, which is about 360 calories. I am the biggest and leanest I have been since my competing days back in 2007. I eat 3-4 protein/fats only meals a day right now when cutting and my favorite is grabbing boiled cut up chicken that I make ahead of time, put natty crunchy pb on it with a bunch of red hot and heat it up in the microwave...it's a two minute version of spicy thai peanut sauce, tastes delicious, and very little carbs. I seriously eat this all the time because it is so damn easy and quick and as you all know food is often the most tedious aspect of what we do. Anytime I can simplify and bang out something in bulk I'm on it.

I'm talking about incorporating PB in bulking and /or cheat meals and how it affects fat gain (or not) on myself. PB is, indeed, calorie dense. I don't do well at trying to eat it in moderation. Overconsumption causes me to gain more fat now than it did when I was younger. Not off topic at all.

Today i ate half a jar. Thats 1400 cals.

Ah but not to worry peanut butter won't make u gain fat.
 
A recent snack I have been having are apple slices dipped in peanut butter... tastes amazing. Be careful though as the apple will make you fat :D
 
A thought came into my mind. Presently i'm consuming 2500 cals just to maintain.

I plan to experiment eating half a jar of peanut butter for 10 days and if i've gain weight.

It would be 2500 + 1400 (half a jar of PB).
