So, tore my pec about 14 weeks ago, had surgery 11 weeks ago. Tendon torn from the bone with avulsion fracture, muscle torn from tendon, and muscle belly tear. Fun, right? LOL. My surgeon said he had never seen all three types of tears at once, so I'm pretty "lucky" I guess...

Anyway, For anyone thats ever had a pec tear, how long til you were at 100% post op? Ive basically been doing everything in my power to speed healing: Collagen supps, bpc157, cissus, tons of vitamin C, etc etc etc.

At 11 weeks post op, Im starting to lightly train upper body again, no "real" weight on chest yet, but managed to row 225 for 12 after not training upper body for almost 3 months! So I'm not too sad about that. Pressed a 30lbs dumbbell for a set of 25 with the repaired side.. Slow, but steady progress thus far.

I have a permanent divet where the muscle belly tore... Sad lol.

ANYWAY, back to experiences.. Anyone else have a bad pec tear? How were things post op?

Sorry to hear of your injury.
I went through 1 as well.
I did Peps and HGH as soon as i went through surgery.
Theres some guys here that advised me on the Peps. I did bpc 157 and tb 500. its Injected directly into the tendon I took the HGh this way as well.

I was back training soon I think i was squating light on a self spotter a few days later.
Bench I was very gun shy ofcourse but was back prob 6 weeks ultra light.
I am about 18 months post.
There is still some tightness and a concentrated fatigue in 1 area of the muscle thats the best way i can xplain it.
there is also a slight feel in the tendon.
Visibly its almost unnoticeable. minus the Surgery scar.
I dont think i will ever get back to were I was but i think that is to b xpected.

Tore the right pec minor right off the bone. Unfortunately and regrettably never had the surgery to correct it.
 
I had a pec tear as well, just not severe enough to get surgery. I used upped my hgh from 3 ius to 6 and didn't stop training upper body, looking back, that was pretty stupid, I was just stubborn as I had a show 7 months later lol.

I tore it on the incline press with 285 on the way down, this sharp pain happened and felt something "slide" into my armpit, weird sensation ever.
 
Age obviously has some play in how long and we'll you heal. My most recent tear of a small back muscle took months to be right, I'm old.
 
Sorry for your injury. Donnie Thompson has a shit ton of videos on how to prevent and correct injuries such as pec tears. Give his Youtube channel a look.

VFW, just curious, what exercise were you doing when you tore your small back muscle?
 
That's the worst bro. I hope you recover soon n keep it easy for some time even when you feel you've recovered.

I am glad you got it repaired. I did not and it has never been the same.

You are doing pretty good for how many weeks you are out. Please do not over do it, Follow your surgeon and therapist instructions.

For the rest of your life lift use perfect form on chest movements. Concentric, 2 second hold, and deccentric 2-4 seconds.

Doc said he put 3 anchor in the bone and on the muscle side used the remaining tendon piece to add sutures through the muscle fascia on the pec. Followup is in two days and I start physical therapy later this week.

I've leveraged CJC/GHRP stack in past for general bodybuildign purposes, and have just recently started again (primarily injecting in the front/medial delt). I'll be doing the "saturation dose" of 100/100 upon waking, mid day (perhaps after a leg workout before some time of cardio) and doing 100/250 IPAM before bed.


1.Are you guys injecting into the Pec itself?
2.Are you microdosing (CJC/GHRP and BPC-157)
3. What time of day do you take BPC-157 and does it need to be on empty stomach?
4. How are you timing the BPC-157? (another thread mentioned doing 10 min pre GH for better reception, so i'm curious if doing 10 min post CJC/GHRP) woudl benefit reception of endogenous GH produced.

I tore my right pec a few years ago and it took quite some time to get back to where I trusted it again. don't overdue your training, being impatient can be the worst thing for you. taking a extra month to rehab it properly is WAY better than rushing it and re tearing everything. the psychological part is probably the worst part to get over from the tearing sensation to our delicate egos when we grab that new weight or look in the mirror at the new you.
taking the peptides that are using is a great idea but I wouldn't worry about site injecting them if I was you as they aren't really a localized product. what I would highly recommend is site injecting igf1 with multiple small (eg10mcg) injections around the injury daily. this helped my recovery dramatically and has worked for everyone I know that has tried it. I know there are some other peptides like tb500 and such that are supposed to work wonders too but I don't have any personal first hand experience with those to comment properly on

I was doing weighted dips. Had 6 plates hanging from my waist. Came down on my 7th rep, and when i was about to come back up, RIP! Horrible, yet really cool feeling lol.

1.Are you guys injecting into the Pec itself?With IGF, yes. with BPC, directly into tendon/in the area of the tendon
2.Are you microdosing (CJC/GHRP and BPC-157) GHRP I use 4x a day, spaced about 3 hours apart, BPC 250mcgs i was doing 2x a day, about 8 hours apart.
3. What time of day do you take BPC-157 and does it need to be on empty stomach? Take it in the AM, and the PM. Not usually on an empty stomach, but if it happens, it happens.
4. How are you timing the BPC-157? (another thread mentioned doing 10 min pre GH for better reception, so i'm curious if doing 10 min post CJC/GHRP) woudl benefit reception of endogenous GH produced. Timing is above, but if anything id do the bpc-157 10-15 mins PRE GHRP inject

I will be extra careful. Im already extremely paranoid lol. My pec also looks a little fucky, excuse my language lol. The muscle belly tear wasnt fixable. BUT the tendon is intact, and looks/feels great!

Im 12 weeks and a few days post op right now, and my surgeon gave me the go ahead to start adding a bit of weight to my pressing now. He said I can work within my 8-12 rep maximum, but extremely controlled!
