For the last few months I've been on a roller coaster. I woke up one morning with urgency to urinate pain burning and sore prostate. I went too a few docs had .72 PSA and several normal rectal exams normal CT scan. I did multiple courses on antibiotics. I suffered a lot no sleep panic attacks I quit working out for the first time in 15 yesrs. I went from 220 in shape to 187 malnourished.

I finally got my head on right got back in the gym my sympotms have gotten better. I get some tightness in my pelvis area and my bladder bothers me sometimes. They changed diagnosis to pelvic pain syndrome. It makes sense to me. I start seeing a pelvic floor specialist next week. I'm doing stretches on my own cardio and weights. My strength and weight is climbing rapidly on 150 mg of test e. Thank God for muscle memory. After I plateau I will be adding some primo maybe some npp.

Anyone else deal with this condition. Do you use gear still?

Pelvic floor pain is real. Where exactly do you get the pain?

Definitely sounds like pelvic floor and the center of your core type dysfunction.

I would try and stretch your piriformis regularly. Stretch your hip flexors, adductors and abductors... pretty much stretch your hips a whole lot. You can do cobra type stretches to get the low abs. Working with an experienced pelvic floor physical therapist would help to have you learn one on one what to do.

Also sit on ice and ice your under carriage if you are hurting. 20 on, 20 off. Rolling on a foam roller can help too.

No problem. Feel free to update us how things go.

I get piriformis pain from doing weekly leg workout for years along with cardio equipment. It sucks.

I have also worked with a lot of patients with similar issues.

There are links, patterns and chains of muscles across your body that also tie in with internal musculature and connective tissue. Sometimes its hard to figure out and sometimes issues match up perfectly with diagrams.

Blanket remedies a lot of the time are just staying limber and loosening everything. And also keeping inflammation low. Theses are general without being specific. It's hard to know exactly what ails you without examining you in person.

Again, don't be afraid to update us from time to time about the issue.

Do some research on LEVATOR syndrome. It can cause pain in the same area mimicking prostate pain. Also, rough bowel movements can cause a similar problem. Do yourself a favor and use a heaping tablespoon of METAMUCIL every single day.

Good tip. You reckon running moderate cycles will be okay with this syndrome?

Urologist here. Pelvic pain is real, and is usually misdiagnosed as "prostatitis". Men get antibiotics and other meds thrown at them, which usually don't work.

Once I started sending guys to pelvic floor therapy, it worked fantastic. but you HAVE to do it. A lot of guys will just go to one visit then stop.

I'd encourage you to be open minded and also make the pelvic floor therapist has dealt with male pelvic pain syndrome.

I started researching more about it I'm doing certain stretches trying to focus on trigger points. My sympotms wax and wane but are very torrible. I only get up once at night to pee. During the day I go a few times. I still have bladder discomfort and occasional pain in some areas. First appointment with PT is Friday.

My ex just finished 12 weeks of pelvic floor therapy as a supplement to recovery from surgery for endometriosis. She had big improvements, but like thebigbus said, you HAVE to do it every week. Her physical therapist even had her get a tool to use at home on her trigger points.

It's like bodybuilding - if you're not consistent with it, you won't get the results you want.
