Anyone know the effects of growth peptides and cholesterol??

I am shocked and confused at my recent lipid profiles. I have had high cholesterol for 20 years. I have been on statin drugs for over 10 years.

Typically my unmedicated cholesterol is 260-290. This comes down to about 160-170 when im being treated.

I lost health insurance and have not taken my medication for over a year. I broke a hip a year ago, eating bad, huge amounts of alcohol, not working out, etc...

In April I got off my ass and started back at the gym. I am on HRT at 200mg Cyp/week and added in peptides.

I just got my bloodwork back and my cholesterol is 138! This is without medication.

I dont know what to think. I figured they had somebody elses test or something, but no, the Dr. checked it and it is correct.

Can this be due to the Peps???

How has your diet, stress, drinking habits, and lifestyle changed since April? All in all, nice numbers...you must be happy!

What peptides are you using and how much?

I had a major change in lifestyle. Gave up the booze, cardio 45 min/day, cut down on the fat but my diet is still bad.

My BP is also way down but my weight went from 296 to 308 in the last 2 months and strength is getting back to where it was. I know the good numbers can be attributed to the lifestyle change but this is kind of drastic and quick to be just that.

Peptides are 10mcg. IGF PWO and 50mcg. CJC and 100mcg. GHRP-6 3x/day.

You just answered your own question w/o realizing it. Doing cardio 45 mins a day makes a huge difference in cholesterol level and bp. My cholesterol has be on the high end of normal when I bulked w/o doing any cardio and my bp was on the higher range of normal(taking bp meds), but I started dieting and doing cardio 5x a week a month ago and my cholesterol is normal and my bp has gone down significantly where I still need my bp meds, but bp is now 115/60. It was 135/80 when I was bulking w/o cardio.

I dont think that is it. My cholesterol has always been high without medication. It is hereditary and my whole family is on statins.

I have been part of a National Heart and Lung study for 12 years and have major workups every 6 years. That along with semi-annual checks at my Dr.'s, I have always had excellent access to this kind of information.

Also, I have been using steroids for 30 years and my cholesterol is always higher while on which has been pretty much cruise and blast since 1978.

I think I will have it rechecked next month.

I have seen several studies on the long term use of growth hormone replacement hormones report that total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol decreased, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol increased. One 5 year study reported that serum concentrations of triglycerides were reduced as well. A 10 year study found there was a sustained improvement in serum lipid profile. Again in a 9month study men showed a decrease in serum levels of total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol.

Good stuff. My HDL also went from 6 to 48 in a year.
