i take phenibut often, probably too much, but i know how it affects me. i think it's an awesome supplement, but can see how it may be dangerous to some. as far as sleep's concerned, it's the best thing i've found (otc).

Noortropics have been around for a while, and in fact, in europe they prescribe(or reccomend) them for cases like depression, anxiety, and have been called "smart drugs" as some do increase your mental clarity. Most are synergetic with one another as well, but its good to always check. I think cognitive nutrition has most noortropics on there webstore.
To the OP, you said you used hydregine in the past... how did that work out for you in the neurology area? and was it liquid or other?

i get the best sleep ever while on phenibut. 1.5-2 grams do the job!
i sleep like a polar bear for 9.30 hours
however it should be used once in a while and definetely not every day

i have the same experience taking phenibut for sleep. it is the only thing that works and i have tried everything under the sun. the only other thing that works for me is my wifes ambien but i cant take that all the time because she needs it. i also take a low dose of phenibut every morning and it really helps rid of the occasional social anxiety i sometimes experience.

I notice there isn't much talk anymore about phenibut. I see it all over online advertised as a natural supplement so how can it cause withdrawals?

I like it a lot but haven't used it for awhile. It should be common sense of something can make you feel drunk, high, or alter mood then more then likely you shouldn't take it everyday. With that said two or three beers with it always felt really nice to me. cant remember what dose I ised but think it was 1 or 1.5grams. Since its been at least over a year if I ised it again I would start with 500 mgs. With shit like this it is best to use smallest dose and remember to take Time off.

Any experiences with phenibut or any nootropics worth trying? Phenibut is commonly used for anxiety, stress, insomnia, mood, relaxation, sense of well-being, any many other things.

I would highly advise staying the fuck clear of Phenibut!!!!!
Its a cheap Benzo substitute that is 10x more addictive.... Too much will render you unconcious and as little as 3 days of use will give you withdrawls....
If your anxiety is too high go to the Dr. and get a Rx for a low dose benzo and use it under a Doctor's supervision.... They are easy to get..
Phenibut is not a Natural compound despite how its advertised, it is a synthetic drug.... and a shitty one at that

as for the science Phenibut works on gaba b receptors, which are different from gaba A. Gaba A is what xanax and most benzo s work on. Look up the difference between gaba a and b receptors.

ive used it since 2005, most ive used is 1000 mgs , twice a week in that time. Many times i wont use it for months on end.

One thing to consider is the type of phenibut isomer. From what I understand, the "3, 4" or "R" isomer is the better/cleaner stuff. The majority of products DON'T use this isomer. A buddy of mine has some of the "good stuff". Might try it soon.

haha i took some day of my last show.

one thing to remember 1 drink=2 drinks on phenibut. it causes alcohol to double in strength.

remember if you take it at night its in your system the next day

I read that it can actually deplete the neurotransmitter GABA. That I don't like. I believe straight GABA cannot deplete it correct.

Also benzo's will not let you enter REM sleep. Anyone know if this is the same with Phenibut?

GABA/ Picamilon

If your trying to sleep well try this. Works well for me. Ill add Phenibut when I know stress levels will be high but not on a regular basis. Picamilon hasn't caused me any side effects. Has a nice calming effect also.
