He said in the interview he didn't finish the Tampa show because he wasn't happy with where he was placed in prejudging. His last few shows he let a lot of people get in his ear and was convinced things were stacked against him.I havent had a chance to listen to this yet but I listened to the heavy muscle tampa recap this morning. John hansen said he didnt see phil, they then said he apparently did prejudging but not finals. Im wondering if something at the tampa pro is what caused him to retire.
That being said for a guy his age i thought he was doing fantastic, you cant really expect to crushing every show at that age.

I think he has been placed more than fairly these last few years. Just another guy with a big ego.I just listened to the whole interview and am no longer a fan of Clahar due to his bitterness and delusional views. Him being 50 isn't the real reason he's retiring - it's because he's mad at the IFBB and his placings.
I absolutely agree. He was in his late 40s being competitive with guys 10+ years younger like Steve Kuclo and Iain Valliere. There were no wins or placings he should've got that he didnt.I think he has been placed more than fairly these last few years. Just another guy with a big ego.
