I commented this same thing in the rarely mentioned pros thread, but it is worth repeating in this stand alone thread.Love him or hate him Phil Hernon was on of the greatest mass monsters.

I hired him very shortly after joining this site. Over the years since I've probably used his training program 90% of the time.Phil was actually the reason I joined PM in 2004. Always idolized his mass and back then Pro M was the first vbulletein board started by a pro and had many pro bodybuilders as members. I actually hired him back then training was exactly how he had laid it out in Muscular Development.
It is interesting that all the people I interacted with back in the day that would be pros gurus and or trainers we never discussed drugs it was all training diet etc. Now everything is so over analyzed and comprehensive in a such a simple process of building size and strength.
One of the best things he ever taught me. So many people couldn't understand this simple concept, if your anabolic your hungry... if your not hungry then you need to figure out WHY?Eat when your hungry![]()
I didn’t understand this initially and it wasn’t until I ran the big beyond belief program and a lightbulb went on in my head at the end of the second week after a full body session. I had a nap as I felt exhausted and just hammered a huge meal then I was still ravenous an hour or so later. It was then I realised the training had made me hungryOne of the best things he ever taught me. I got somewhere i will find it and post the pages.I hired him very shortly after joining this site. Over the years since I've probably used his training program 90% of the time.
I'd love to get my hands on that MD article.
Yes please do. I still think his style of training can stand up to anything else certainly for the average and intermediate lifter. It’s a style I’ve always preferred. Him LATS DC just seems to make sense to me.I got somewhere i will find it and post the pages.
